Anurag University

In your academic experience, you might have seen many institutions. What is something about Anurag University that excited you to join the organization and be a part of it?

The most exciting part of this institution is its Leadership and its Vision. There is no compromise in providing the infrastructural facilities required for academic activities and extracurricular activities. The ultimate goal of our team is to mold responsible citizens with true academics and knowledge. The Leadership has a goal of setting up a high standard University competing with the world–class Universities. It gives pleasure to become a part of it and play my role in achieving it.

What strategies do you employ to ensure effective quality assurance processes and systems within the institution?

To ensure quality assurance, the quality objectives are well-defined and made clear for the stakeholders. All the quality standards are ensured to be relevant, specific, and achievable. A Quality assurance team was established with a mix of young and experienced. All processes and operating procedures were well documented. Regular internal and external academic and administrative audit is in place to assess the effectiveness of the Quality assurance system.

How do you stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in higher education quality assurance, and how do you integrate them into the institution's quality improvement initiatives?

Most of the benchmarks are adopted from the guidelines of NAAC. This era is a keystroke that allows you to know what is happening across the world in the field of higher education and its quality assurance. The organizations like APQN, AQIE, and IAEPT share the updates and conduct workshops on various issues of quality in education and they help a lot in choosing the right paths for achieving the targets.

How do you engage with various stakeholders, including faculty, administrators, and students, to ensure a culture of quality within the institution?

Faculty with continuous training and development, Students with their active participation, and Administration in taking necessary steps for implementing the policies and welfare measures.

What measures do you take to ensure that the institution complies with accreditation and regulatory standards?

Quality assurance is a continuous process in this institution. Accreditation bodies like NAAC, NBA, and others have defined and well-known metrics. To comply with these standards, the achievable benchmark in each metric is identified at the beginning of the academic year and we all put together our effort in achieving that benchmark. Our team collaborates with accrediting agencies and regulatory bodies to seek clarification and guidance on compliance requirements and act according to them.

Can you outline your vision for the future of quality assurance within the institution and the strategies you plan to implement to achieve that vision?

We aim high and we have confidence that it is not impossible for us. A++ is our target and we believe that we are close to that and reach that standard within six months. We have identified the areas that are to be strengthened and need efforts to be put in for better scores in those metrics. As a team, we are executing our plan for it.

How do you handle challenges or issues related to quality assurance and maintain a positive and collaborative atmosphere within the institution?

Challenges are limited in number for us. Commitment to fostering a culture of trust, openness, and continuous improvement is the best way of handling challenges and issues and we believe in it. Explaining the rationale behind the decisions transparently involving the relevant stakeholders in the decision-making process and allowing them to be involved independently will be the key to maintaining the collaborative atmosphere in our institution.

How do you ensure that quality assurance efforts align with the institution's mission, vision, and goals?

For this, we focus on the coherence between all activities of the stakeholders and establishing a relation among those activities. To mention a few, a thorough understanding of vision and mission is made possible through strategic plans and documents. Students, Faculty, and Leadership were made to understand their perspectives, expectations, and concerns mainly connected to Quality. The institutional alignment with the Mission and Vision is analyzed and the necessary adjustments to keep the collinear alignment are being taken. Specific, achievable, relevant, and time-bound objectives and benchmarks are decided and put into execution. Regular information-sharing sessions have been a practice of the institution for sharing the quality assurance efforts and progress. Training and development, Feedback, data collection, documentation, and preparing reports supports the quality assurance system.
