IES's Management College and Research Centre is a Mumbai based leading private institution which came into existence in 1998 and offers best quality management education through Postgraduate courses along with PhD and Executive Certification programs. And to deliver this education and make the overall learning more industry oriented, the institution uses a wide range of teaching methodologies and keeps it updated as and when required. Because teachers here value the fact that the understanding level of each student is different, hence a single teaching technique won’t be beneficial to fulfill the academic needs of all students. Following mentioned are some of the approaches and strategies which the institute follows rigorously to inculcate knowledge in students and enhance their skills as per the requirement of the educational and industrial sectors.

Case Studies: The IES MCRC extensively uses real-life case studies of both national as well as international companies while delivering lectures to students so that they can understand the theoretical concepts in a better way, relate it to its practical applications and analyze actual obstacles of the corporate world.

Guest Lectures: With the intention of providing deep insight about ground level processes and work scenarios, the college organizes guest lectures and industry interaction sessions on a regular basis in collaboration with industry experts and leaders. Another purpose of these interaction sessions is to educate students about the recent developments, trends and expectations of the respective industries and struggles those experts have faced before or while working there so that students can analyze in which areas they need to give more focus.

Industrial Visits: In addition to guest sessions, the institution also conducts professional visits as and when required for the purpose of giving an idea to students about how people and processes work together at the ground level to fulfill shared goals.

Role Plays and Group Projects: To teach essential skills like leadership skills and teamwork to students, the college regularly assigns a wide variety of mini and major projects. And this also helps young minds to apply their classroom knowledge in real life scenarios. Apart from this, to help students imitate real-world scenarios, role plays are organized too from time to time.

Additionally, the college conducts seminars and conferences on various topics to strengthen the subject knowledge of students and also to help them interact directly with the corporate experts of diverse domains to clear their academic and non-academic queries.

Center of Excellence: The Center of Excellence was launched by the college in 2010 with the aim of transforming students into future leaders and entrepreneurs. In addition to this, a diverse range of programs are arranged by college to expose students to actual world scenarios and help them analyze and evaluate their leadership, entrepreneurship and team building skills. And as an inseparable part of this program, professional visits, guest learning sessions, competitions and Entrepreneurs-Students interaction sessions are conducted by the college on a regular basis. Last but not the least, Alumni of the college who are already working with reputed organizations and industries are invited too to share their struggling journey with their juniors so that students feel motivated and encouraged to explore things without any kind of self doubt.
