Kanoria PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya, has a well-established Research and Development centre to promote research based teaching learning thereby preparing students for bright careers.
Research and Development centre is providing enabling environment to guide students in the right direction and continuously striving to promote research activities. The centre’s primarily focus is on inculcation of research mind-set among the students and inspiring students to have basic innovative thinking. It provides opportunity work on minor and major projects. Centre also assists faculty members and students in publishing research papers in journals, presenting research in national and international conferences and providing required financial assistance from the college funds. Besides, the centre also organises demonstration hands-on workshops for working on various scientific instruments in collaboration with DST CURIE Laboratory. The laboratory has been established with grant received from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The college through R & D Centre sponsored four students to present their research paper in conference organised by IIT, Guwahati.
The Research and Development Centre has also got published a book titled “Interdisciplinary Perspective of Scientific Research" for Science faculty and students.
In addition to many completed research projects, several projects in the field of chemistry, physics, life science, social and human behaviour, etc. are in on-going stage. Some of these are as follows
- Ms. Shivangi Seth, student of M.Com ABST has conducted a survey for her research paper " Emerging Trends of Cybernated Transactions in India: An Outlook Amidst Covid-19 Pandemic " under the guidance of Dr. Vishnu Priya Temani, Assistant Professor, Department of Accountancy and Business Statistics.
- "Digital Payment Behaviour of Students" a student survey was conducted by Department of Economics under the guidance of Ms. Vijayalakshmi Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, KMM, Jaipur.
- Productivity, Work-Life Balance and Learning Orientation of Women Professors working in Women Colleges across Jaipur, Rajasthan. Project submitted by Department of Psychology.
- Genetic analysis of seed proteins content in Vigna radiata: A SDS-PAGE study. Project submitted by Dr. Reema Srivastava, Assistant Professor, Dr. Ritu Jain, Associate Professor, Department of Botany, KMM, Jaipur, Janak Kanwar, Sakshi Kasera (Student, M.Sc Botany).
- Nutritional significance of protein and amylase qualification in some legumes: A comparative analysis. Project submitted by Dr. Aparna B. Rathore, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, KMM, Jaipur, Aditi Jain and Arti (Student, M.Sc Botany).
