Induction Program for 2023-24 batch at Oriental University, Indore held at 4th-5th September, 2023

A two-day orientation program for new students was organized on 4 and 5 September 2023 at Oriental University, Indore. The program was started by welcoming the new students, in which University Chancellor Honourable Mr. Praveen Thakral, all the members of the management, Deans of all the departments, Faculty members and administrative staff were present.

At the beginning of the program, a detailed presentation was presented by Dr. Garima Ghai, the Academic Dean of the university, in which she told the history of establishment of Oriental University by the founder Chancellor late Dr. K.L. Thakral. In her presentation she proceeded with the present form of the university, its functioning, activities to its future plans.

 With the aim of preparing and motivating the new students for their new journey, a very interesting motivational lecture was given by the motivational speaker Mr. Pankaj Kothari and a short film titled ‘One Idiot’ based on financial management was shown (keeping in mind the future needs of the students). After lunch, in the second session of the first day, the new students took a tour of the university campus under the leadership of Dr. Mohammad Ali and his team. 

On the second day of the program, Dr. Garima Ghai, Dean Academics, introduced the new students to the various faculties of the university, their Deans, HODs, Teaching Faculties and members of non-academic departments. Continuing the series of motivational lectures, a motivational lecture was given by the renowned motivational speaker Dr. Sandeep Atre ji which was heard by all in a spell bound manner. With the aim of helping the students in the overall development of personality, a spiritual lecture was given by the skilled motivational speaker of ISKCON Indore, Prabhu Shri Sukhdev Das ji. In which they were taught tricks to organize their daily lives. In the second session of the second day, the students were sent to their respective departments and were introduced to the departmental working system and courses by the respective HODs of the depatments.The program was coordinated by Dr. Rochana Shukla and Dr. Shikha Jaiswal. The entire two-day orientation program was successfully completed under the able leadership of respected Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sunil. K. Somani and under the guidance of respected Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Dhruv Ghai.
