World Bipolar Day was celebrated on March 30, 2023 at 10:30 am by the Department of Psychology, NSHM Institute of Health Sciences at Pharmacy Seminar Hall, NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata. The last date to register for this event was March 28, 2023. The event commenced with an interactive session by Dr. Uday Chaudhury, Prof. and HOD, Psychiatry Unit, Medicine Department, Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences, Kolkata on the topic “From Manic Depressive Psychosis to Bipolar Spectrum Disorder”.

Developmental Disability Awareness Day was organized by the Department of Psychology on the topic Intellectual Disability- Causes & Characteristics Myths and Facts & Management on March 17, 2023 in the Pharmacy Seminar Hall. Ms. Baishakhi Sarkar was the host for the event. There were quizzes for both UG and PG students. The topics for the quizzes were Developmental Disorders (Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and Developmental Disorders (Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disorder, Communication Disorder, Motor Disorder, Speech Disorder and Tic Disorder) respectively.

The event commenced at 11:30 am, Sarah Hussain was the speaker at the event and she spoke on the topic of “Psychoanalytical aspect behind self-harm”.
