The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the detailed notification for CUET UG 2026. This marks one of the most crucial admission journeys for 12th standard students across the country. Candidates aspiring to join top universities must be all prepared to give their best possible performance in the national level entrance, which will be held from May 11 to May 31, 2026.
WHY CUET IS IMPORTANT
The biggest advantage of CUET UG is instead of tackling multiple entrances, students can take one exam and use the score to apply to multiple universities.Apart from government institutions, one of India’s leading private universities, Woxsen University, Hyderabad also accepts CUET UG score for admission in its UG programmes including Business, Management, Liberal Arts & Humanities, Design, Law, and Sciences. The University is known to be an institution which imbibes curiosity, creativity, and industry readiness in their curriculum. Before you take the exam in May, here are a few tricks that will help you crack the exam with flying colours.
Understand the Syllabus
The first step of preparing for CUET is to understand the syllabus minutely. It is important that you make note of the exam pattern, question pattern, how marking is done, and time limit before making your preparation routine.
Mindful Choice of Subject
Before preparing for CUET, you need to clearly determine the subjects you intended to study. Based on this, prepare exactly for the subjects required for the exam. You have to choose one language test, one general test, and three domain-specific subjects. You should be very careful and choose subjects which you are strong at and align with the degree you want to pursue, to make sure that you get a higher score.
Strengthen Concept
Like many other entrances, CUET questions also test your basics and conceptual understanding of the subject. Once you have chosen your subjects, make the best use of your 11th and 12th standard NCERT books to have a solid understanding of all the core concepts.
Application-based Thinking
If you want to pursue undergraduate studies in reputed universities including Woxsen University, it is important to know how to apply your conceptual understanding. CUET often twists the question, very differently from textbook, to test your thinking. Thus, don’t memorise, brush up concepts. If you are opting for law, business or design, your application based thinking will keep you ahead of others.
Start Practising Mocks Early
Like any other entrances, mock tests are your key to a higher score in the exam. Once you are confident with your preparation, start taking time-bound mock exams. Treat them as the final exam and attempt as many questions as possible in that time to test your accuracy.
Analyse Mocks Thoroughly
Taking mock tests is not enough. To crack the CUET, you should analyse each test. Assess your strong area, point out your weaker areas, and the sections you are still confused about. These identifications will enable you to make a better strategy and avoid silly mistakes.
For students appearing for CUET this year, a successful CUET score is not only about getting a place in the best universities. With rapid technological changes, all the domains ranging from business, design, to law, communication are undergoing major shifts. Thus, it is important to opt for a university like Woxsen University, Hyderabad that not only has a good infrastructure but also gives you real-world exposure, applied learning, and makes you industry ready from day one.
