You held key positions at various prestigious institutions throughout your career. What is that one thing that made you excited and walk with Woxsen in the journey?

Throughout my journey, I have seen many directions and perspectives for handling, organizing, and directing the growth of students and the organization. My learning has taught me to bring out new methods and strategies, and I am glad to say that Woxsen has given me the opportunity to utilize them for the success of students. Specifically, I am excited about Woxsen's focus on innovation, which I believe is essential for success in the 21st century. Woxsen is committed to creating a learning environment that fosters innovation and creativity.

How do you balance the needs of faculty, students, and administration as a dean of a School of Technology?

We understand the planning and organization of activities and expectations, and we use this understanding to derive the methodology for executing them. During the process, we perform a SWOT analysis and, with that, start filling the gaps and needs. I ensure that my team (faculty) is made aware of expectations, resources, time for their delivery, and standards. We do the same for students as well, and we work as a team to achieve our mutual dreams.

How do you stay current with the latest trends and developments in the field of Technology and incorporate them into the curriculum and programs offered by Woxsen?

Association with various industry partners on multiple fronts in the form of Board of Studies members, expert committees, project evaluators, and other discussion forums are the ones that direct and help us develop stronger curriculums. This helps us ensure we stand at the forefront of change in the modern technological race with quality syllabuses.

How well is Woxsen focusing on maintaining industry relationships with companies in order to leverage them for live projects, training, and placements for the students?

We adopt co-teaching and co-delivery criteria, where our industry experts are heavily involved in our day-to-day teaching and learning processes. From this association, we derive skills, knowledge, industrial exposure, skill demonstrations, capstone projects, real-time use cases, etc.

What is something a B.Tech course aspirant can expect from joining the Woxsen School of Technology?

One thing every student joining the Woxsen School Of Technology can expect is opportunities that will be available for them or presented to them. They have the provision and exposure to grab them as per their potential and capability. They are not just limited to their field but can explore opportunities in all industries, academia, sports, extracurricular, and many more.

What are the biggest challenges currently facing by colleges with Technology courses, and how do you plan to address them as the dean?

We are a state-private university, which means we don’t come across many challenges that are being faced by most colleges. On the other hand, being a bigger system, we need to take checks and balances at multiple stages, adopt greater standards, and ensure the learning process is a wonderful experience that can result in a positive outcome.

How would you promote experiential learning and practical application of knowledge within the School of Technology?

Being an engineering backdrop, we greatly adopt and embrace technology. To ensure this, project-based learning is what we push our faculty for. To support this, we made our curriculum reflect greater than 50% credits to emphasize practicality. This helps facilitate the greater transformation of knowledge into wisdom.

What kind of steps Woxsen is taking in order to bridge the gap between academia and the real industry world?

I believe that the virtual gap that is often highlighted between academia and industry can only be bridged by research. At the School of Technology, we strongly reflect our strengths, capabilities, and capacities, along with our commitment and dedication towards projects for the industry. That is how we are able to grab industry projects, and as a result, our students start working in industry during their studies.
