Nashik: An Esteemed Alumni of Gargi Agriculture Research and Training Institute, Nashik Ms. Simran Kinni got “Jay Dhawan Scholarship” to pursue her career in M.Sc. from Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom.

Nao Spirits, a distinguished craft gin company based in Goa, India, has partnered with The Gin Guild to unveil 'The Jay Dhawan Scholarship,' an initiative aimed at fostering talent in the field of brewing and distilling. This year it has been awarded to a B.Sc. graduate Alumni of Gargi Agriculture Research and Training Institute, Nashik, Simran Kini, who has been selected to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in brewing and distilling at the esteemed Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom. Every year only one student from India is selected for this scholarship. 

Simran Kini's academic journey began with BSc in Wine, Brewing, and Alcohol technology from Gargi Agriculture Research and Training Institute (GARTI) in Nashik. Her practical experience includes a stint at the Taj Group of Hotels in 2019, complemented by a diploma in hotel management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Bangalore.
