What are the key factors that keep you connected with the Education sector?

Knowledge is power and it comes from education alone. The only field that expands periodically and does not in any way belong to a single person is the education sector. One can develop themselves individually by virtue of knowledge and such knowledge requires no expenditure of money or material wealth.

What is your Philosophy of leadership and how would you describe your leadership style?

My philosophy of leadership is nothing but friendship. I make my colleagues and staff members my friends and convert each one of them into a unique workforce. I try to maintain this and give each stakeholder the freedom to work with wisdom. All of these together describe my leadership style.

It will also help them stay competitive in the industry. I also have plans to make the students aware of the field of pharmacy in different countries around the globe.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your college?

We have adopted several measures to maintain a harmonious environment at the college. We have evening sports, culture clubs, group discussions on current happenings and debates on special topics and critical headings. I believe these activities and keeping open communication among all will establish healthy relationships and environment in my college.

What do you think should be the college’s top priority for the next 10 years?

I think that over the next ten years, we should work on improving basic research in the laboratories. We also want to motivate our students to work on combined projects. We are trying to sign more MOUs with industries that will help our students with placements, internships, and skill-enhancement courses. We are also planning to invite experts from academia, research, and industry to give speeches and share their viewpoints with the students.

How do you try to bring in practical approach towards students and make it industry oriented?

I will try to design practical exercises with the help of industry experts and try to teach the same by the experts themselves. I will allow the students to visit industries as much as possible and ask them to submit assignments based on their industry visits. Using case studies, live projects, and better infrastructure will also help in this regard.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make it befitting for the students?

I will try to implement an objective and outcome-based education system (OBE) for the students. We hold an open-book examination system for their internal knowledge assessment as well. They are required to complete a mandatory internship to practice their learned skills and understand what skills they need to possess to work in the industry.

How does your college prepare students for Placements?

Teachers who are assigned for placements will be given proper training, which they will use to prepare the students for interviews and the job market. Additionally, I will conduct personality development programs that will prepare the students to face the interviews. I try to make sure my students have strong communication skills and know the latest developments in the industry.

What valuable advice would you like to give thestudents for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

I always advise the students to choose the toughest ways and to set their goals. Many times, the tough road will lead to beautiful destinations. You must put in the work and be dedicated to achieving your dream and career. Remember, there is no gain without a little bit of pain!
