Dr. Anwar Iqbal Khan is the Vice Principal of the NRI Institute Of Pharmacy. He holds a Doctoral degree from Bhagwant University, Ajmer. He has done research on Formulation & Evaluation of Herbal Hair Gel for Alopecia Management and has over 14 years of work experience in the teaching field. He has published 20 research papers in national and international journals.

Being a Faculty of the Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

Being the Vice Principal of this department, my primary responsibility revolves around guiding and facilitating the educational development of our students, acknowledging their pivotal role in societal progress. It is essential to furnish them with knowledge and competencies that resonate with current standards, thereby enhancing their prospects for successful careers post-graduation. Additionally, I am steadfast in extending support to students during challenging times. Simultaneously, I am dedicated to cultivating an environment conducive to the growth of our faculty, providing requisite assistance to address any obstacles they may face.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

I foster close relationships with both faculty members and students, viewing them as essential members of our extended community. During times of difficulty, I am proactive in connecting with them, showing understanding by offering personalized support. Through providing guidance during tough times, I play a role in their growth, both personally and professionally. Working together harmoniously, we form a united team capable of successfully overcoming any obstacles we encounter.

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real world challenges?

We arrange diverse extracurricular activities aimed at improving students' abilities and well-being. These include sports like cricket, volleyball, basketball, and badminton, as well as seminars, orientations, and cultural events. These activities contribute to shaping students into dynamic individuals.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world?

We enrich their skills through hands-on learning experiences,incorporating practical approaches such as industrial visits. These visits offer insights into operational procedures, such as tablet manufacturing or emergency protocols in hospital settings. Additionally, we supplement theoretical knowledge with practical exercises conducted in laboratories, reinforcing concepts from their textbooks and covering additional subjects essential for their future endeavors. We also have training & placement cells who enhance the behavior & communication of our students which helps them during their Interviews as well as in their professional life.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead? 

We suggest our students to regularly attend the classes plus they should learn what they have learned today in the class when they are in their home. Everything should be maintained in a proper manner in order to have a better future.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make it befitting for the students?

We align our curriculum with the guidelines set forth by RGPV, our affiliated institution. Furthermore, we incorporate additional subjects aimed at improving students' communication skills and behavior. Additionally, we supplement the core curriculum with extra topics to provide students with a broader understanding beyond the confines of their textbook.
