The Bar Council of India (BCI) successfully conducted the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XX today, on November 30, 2025, without any major glitches. The exact number of students who appeared for the exam at different exam centres is not yet known.

Last year, approximately 229,843 students took the AIBE 19 exam in 2024, with an overall pass percentage of 77.27%. This year's exam, conducted offline, began at 1:00 PM and ended at 4:00 PM. Now that the AIBE 20 exam is over, all eyes will be on the cutoff and AIBE 20 passing marks.

The official answer keys for all AIBE 20 question paper sets will be available soon on the official AIBE website. It will take several weeks for the AIBE results to be announced. Now that the exam is over, the AIBE 20 passing marks will determine who will receive a Certificate of Practice (CoP) and whose dreams of becoming a practising lawyer in India will be shattered this year.

Overall, the number of good attempts and expected cutoffs for the AIBE 20 exam in 2025 will vary for each category. For General/OBC category students, attempting 65–70 questions (with minimal guessing) is considered a safe score. SC/ST/PwD candidates, however, must attempt 60–65 questions to achieve an AIBE passing mark after adjustment or normalisation.
