Monash University Fees Refund
Monash University provides 100% fee refund to international students in the following cases:
- When the university itself withdraws, the students' admission offer is withdrawn.
- When the university officially does not offer that particular program anymore.
- Your student visa is delayed, and you cannot start your program at the right time.
- Any personal problem that can be considered serious by the university.
Monash University offers a partial refund of fees to international students in the following cases:
- If you cancel early, more than 4 weeks before the course starts, most of the tuition fees are refunded, but AUD 500 / INR 32,942 might be deducted.
- If you cancel, less than 4 weeks before the course starts, the university might deduct 50% of the fees for that semester.
- If your student visa is rejected, then the university might deduct AUD 500 / INR 32,942 or 5% of prepaid tuition fees (whichever is smaller).
- If you withdraw before the census date.
Monash University will not offer a refund to international students in the following cases:
- You withdrew from admission after the census date.
- You misbehaved/misconducted.
- Submitted false documents.
- Fees are paid using a prepaid card.
- The student does not withdraw, but simply stops studying.
- Fails due to academic misconduct.
Note: Refunds are usually processed within 4 weeks after submitting a refund request.

- On campus accommodation is very expensive
- Fast paced environment when it comes to academics
- There are lot of activities to do on campus and you have no time to cover everything as few activities are overlapping.
- realestate.com to rent a whole property. Flatmates, Instagram communities, and Facebook groups for finding an accommodation. Be very careful while choosing one. Not all are as good as they seem to be. Do not pay before inspecting the property directly. Try to get a house in your language or nationality for easy living.

- Campus is not as big and fancy as Oxford or Cambridge.

"I found accommodation through facebook marketplace. My rent was $700 which included laundry and utilities (electricity and water). I did not really face any challenges while finding accommodation, but when securing it, I had to make a decision within 2 days after viewing because of it's high demand. For future students, I would recommend to get a private room if possible because then you can focus a lot on your studies. There's Facebook marketplace, Kijiji and real estate agencies which rent out and if you find real estate agency which specialises in student housing (WCRI in my city, Waterloo), then you can find pretty cheap rooms near university campuses. My accommodation is around 4 KM away from the campus. Most of the Indian students live in the city of Kitchener, but some groups did live near the university but they had to share their rooms with at least 3-4 other people to afford those places."

The course is a reflection of the real world application that simulates a work environment with 95% practical and hands on learning. I did an internship as a Data Analyst through my curriculum. Overall, the coursework is one of the best in the world with highly qualified faculty and to notch infrastructure.

96 credit points or less - you must complete at least half of these credit points at Monash. It gave a well-managed value in our academics and the student's ratio in my course is about 57:60 it's all about 100+ students in my class.

I pay my fees through an online portal from the cyber cafe and the terms of fees payment are about 1lakh. there are many scammers who make fake websites. the academic expenses are to take books and many more.
Course Curriculum
My course was a great experience for me as it challenged my way of studying. In India education is more about learning the topics, Monash University offered my course as more of a hands-on experience where I shared my fair share of time in labs, Interacted with industry professionals, and even took part in cross-department projects. This would not have been possible if the structure of my course wasn't flexible enough. The curriculum comprises more than 30 courses just in the field of biomedical engineering which assisted me to pursue my career choice.

Course Curriculum
My course curriculum is highly updated to the current trends of biotechnology and the workshops are really useful. Students were able to take either the research pathway or industrial pathway during the second year if they get to score above 70% from the core units. Due to covid19 lockdown in Australia, they were not able to provide us with labs, which was a major drawback. And there were too many lectures and time-consuming assignments which made me difficult to follow along within the set time. Other than that, I enjoyed the course.

Around 40 lakhs INR was the basic fee for the course but the university will provide scholarships every now and then based on our academic credentials.
Course Curriculum
It is made for people who have experience in the Computer science/Data field with a wide variety of hard electives that I wish I could have taken but with no math/CS background, it was like paying 6500 AUD to fail.
