Colleges Where I Was Accepted
Reason for choosing my college
- it is typically a 1-year post-graduation course, which was ideal for me as i already have a graduation degree and i wanted to quickly gain specialised skills. Great return on investment and faster path for employment for further studies.
Colleges Where I Was Rejected
Reason for Rejection
- I first got accepted there and then started my classes from India itself while waiting for my visa, as the 1st semester was online because of COVID then as I got my visa, I got a rejection in that so the college gave me an option to waive off for other intakes, but unfortunately there were no seats left in that intake either, and at last i had no choice but to leave that college.

Tips to enhance your application
- The main document is SOP you should be very careful while writing it , you should be very clear with your academic goals and career goals, why you are choosing this program, relevant backgrounds, skills you bring and future plans.
Admission Experience
- Canada is one of the safest countries and the best country to study, and Sheridan ranks 1 in research partnerships in 2022 , focus on experiential learning and co-op opportunities , i chose Graduate certificate in International Business Management located at hazel macCallion campus in Mississauga, they generally mirror other Ontario IBM programmes like GBM , leadership for global managers, International marketing and sales , etc . located in 4180 duke of blvd , right across from square one mall , sheridan hazel McCallion campus (HMC), Career opportunities from IBM are International trade research assistant, Logistics or Supply chain Analyst , Account manager , etc. my overall experience was very nice, as they provide learning in practical and case-based ways, with a strong emphasis on teamwork. the campus community is diverse and multicultural, which attracts many international students. Overall the atmosphere of the college is collaborative , supportive and community-driven.
Class Schedule
10
- Typically takes 5-6 courses per term, each worth around 3 credit hours. 5-9 in-person or synchronous class sessions weekly. Classes are scheduled between 8 am and around 6-7 pm. Each lecture is around 2-3 hours. Small class size of around 25-30 students. In my class maximum students were Indians. If you have 12-15 hours of classes per week, plan an additional 12-15 hours for reading, quizzes, assignments, group work, and exam prep.
Faculty
10
- Business classes are small, with an average of 25-30 students, which allows for more meaningful interaction and accessibility to the professor. Professors are willing to help, supportive and answer questions. Professors recommend strong platforms if your grades are excellent; Co-op programmers run through career services. The college also offers part-time campus roles like tutoring or peer support.
Campus Life
10
- Sheridan offers a vibrant and diverse campus life. It has 3 campuses. 1 Hazel McCallion Campus (HMC) 2. Davis Campus 3. Trafalgar Campus. my camps HMC has a library with a quiet zone, a group study room, and access to the academic database. Student and Athletics centre with gym indoor track, cardio and strength training zone, and Yoga and dance studio.
- On-campus medical services, a prayer room and a wellness centre. Sheridan organize varies events and festivals like , cultural showase , holi festival , international womens'day fair , Halloween party and many more. There are many clubs in HMC such as sheidan finance club , friendzone club , anime club , indian festivals club , etc. HMC has varies Extracurricular activities such as recreational sports, club meetups, workshops, networking events, etc.
Part Time Jobs
- Avg pay is $16-20/hour; preferred jobs are retail, fast food, delivery, and warehouse. You can apply through walk-ins, job sites and referrals. Most students get part-time work within 1-2 months of arrival if they apply constantly and improve their resume. tip-apply to 5-10 jobs per week and follow up in person if possible.
- There are both on-campus and off-campus jobs. Sheridan provides limited but valuable jobs on campus, such as TA, RA, and DA roles, which are very limited and highly competitive. Typically awarded to students who are very highly academic (above 85-90%).
- Hourly pay is $16-18 CAD/hour for other on-campus jobs such as library desk, student union SSU events, Campus cafes or bookshops, etc. hourly wage: $16 cad/hour. these roles are easier to get if you apply early in the term or have good references.
- Off-campus jobs: most students work in cafes and restaurants or delivery jobs(uber eats, SkipTheDishes). Hourly pay is $16.55-18$ cad/hour these jobs can be found on indeed, LinkedIn, etc. As per Canadian immigration rules, international students are allowed to work 20 hours/week.
Placement
6
- 83-87 % of graduates from the graduation certificate program secure jobs (part- or full-time) within 6 months. Sheridan's published average co-op wages pay around $19 cad/hour during placements. while final full-time salaries aren't published for IBM .
- Entry-level annual salary ranges from (low) 40,000 CAD to 55,000 cad (median). Highest performace grads may reach $60,000+. Students typically find jobs through LinkedIn, Indeed, glassdoor, networking events, etc.
Accommodation
Off Campus
8
- I found the accommodation through my friend; she already lives there, but if you don't have family or friends there, my tip will be to start early and use the right tools , online platforms like kijiji, facebook marketplace can really help. You can also join the students whatsapp group for sheridan newcomers; you may face challenges like high demand near campus, fake listings, budget issues, etc. I will recommend you start your search 1-2 months in advance and visit the place (video Tour) before confirming.
