Ans. Yes, KIET Ghaziabad is no doubt excellent for CS. On top of studying at an affordable fee, you will get excellent placement and internship offers. In 2023, the placement percentage was considerably high at 89.78%. The highest package was around INR 48.89 LPA and the average package was INR 6.86 LPA. Many of my seniors got placed in good companies, some qualified GATE and some of them even were winners in Hackathon and other competitions. Read more

Ques. How do I get BTech admission in KIET Ghaziabad?

Ans. The eligibility criteria is the same for all the branches of BTech in KIET. You just need to pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and at least 45% of marks in aggregate. For SC/ST candidates, a 5% relaxation in marks will be applicable. Additionally, you will also need a valid JEE-Main score. UPTAC registration and counselling for BTech admission will begin from July. 85% of the total seats will be filled via JEE-Main. For direct admission, you can simply go to their website and fill up their online application form. You will be called for a written exam and an in-person interview when the candidate is shortlisted by the institute based on their PCM merit at the 10+2 level. After passing both the written exam and the interview, you will get the admission offer.Read more

Ans. According to my experience as a former CSE student at KIET, choosing KIET over JSS Noida will be no doubt a good choice. You’ll also get the best infrastructure and faculty in the CSE branch.  There are considerably more opportunities here to do something unique in your field. I have seen my seniors getting placed at reputed companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Adobe, Accenture, and Infosys, to name just a few. Just last year, i.e. 2023, the highest package that they secured was INR 48.89 LPA. Moreover, about 93.98% of my seniors were successfully placed. Read more

Ques. Are the placements for the ECE branch better in ABES Engineering College than KIET?

Ans. Before giving you my opinion, let’s look at some statistics. India Today Engineering ranks KIET Ghaziabad at 148 out of 238, whereas NIRF Engineering ranks ABES Ghaziabad at 251-300 out of 300. KIET is one of the top engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh. They have excellent professors who are distinguished PhD holders from reputed institutes.  The total cost for the 4-year BTech ECE course in KIET is INR 5.56 Lakhs. The placements of the ECE branch are also quite good. The overall placement percentage for 2023 is 90.95%. The average CTC is INR 5.10 LPA and the highest CTC is INR 18.15 LPA. You’ll have amazing internship opportunities as well.  According to me, BTech ECE at KIET will be a good option if you want affordability as well as quality education.Read more

Ques. How is ABES EC as an engineering college and what are its downfalls??

Ans. Don't even consider ABES EC if you're serious about building a career. Here's why: I'm a final-year EEE student, and in my experience, only about 5% of the teachers here are truly worthy of respect. If you're eager to learn new tech skills, this isn't the place for you. Teaching here is all about dictating book content. By the end of the semester, you'll hear, "Just study my notes; they're enough for the exams." Nobody is concerned about your personal issues. Even if you're battling a serious illness, you still need to maintain 75% attendance, or you'll face internal setbacks. I sometimes wish I had chosen a different college, even one with a lower ranking, because at least there I'd manage around 75% aggregate thanks to better internal marking. Here at ABES, getting 75% in internal marks is a big deal. Decisions aren't based on rules but rather on the ego of your department head. They will make you miserable if you don't conform to what they want. Your skills and talents don't matter here. Attendance and compliance are all that count. The management is very political. Even if you have proof and are in the right, nobody, not even the director, will back you up if someone opposes you. In my first year, we had classes on Sundays too. Internal exams were held from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm after a full day of classes from 8:30 am to 4:20 pm. It's mentally exhausting. Two entire notice boards are filled with lists of fines for so-called indiscipline, and about 70% of these aren't even real issues. It's obvious the college is focused on making money. If you're looking for positives, the only decent things are the ground (where you can't play), the auditorium, and the cafeterias. That's about it for ABES. To sum it up, if you want to be an "Engineer," forget ABES. But if you're just looking to get a "B.Tech," then you're welcome here. My advice is to not even think about coming here.Read more

Ans. Hey there. I graduated from ABES Engineering College in Ghaziabad in 2012. Back when I joined, the college had a solid reputation, though I'm not sure how it's perceived now. The infrastructure is impressive, possibly the best in the university. As for the faculty, they were mostly average, with a few great ones and a couple who weren't so good. I completed my degree in electronics and communication, but I noticed that placement opportunities for my field were limited. I recall that only one company, Cadence, recruited about 8 to 10 EC students. Most job offers were for the computer science department. I ended up getting a job in an IT firm. TCS hired roughly 250 students, and IGate took about 25 or 30, with packages around 3.5 LPA. Not many big companies came for placements, and those that did often offered less than 3 LPA. Now, I'm working in Hyderabad with a decent salary of 10 LPA. The student crowd here is quite serious about academics, and you'll face tough competition. If you're looking for a fun college experience, this might not be the place. The college administration puts a strong emphasis on academics and discipline. You'll need to work hard for your internal marks, and attendance is strictly monitored. The first year can be challenging, but you'll get used to it as time goes on. Overall, I'd say it's an average college. If you're an average student like I was (I scored 65%, which is considered below average at ABES), but you're good at English and confident, you can still land a job. Just keep your expectations for college life realistic. Hope this helps!Read more

Ans. Overall ABES EC is an average engineering college at best. Here are some of the pros and cons of joining the institutes.  Pros:  It has great infrastructural facilities. There is centralized AC for all blocks in the whole college. The lush green campus will soothe your eyes. The hostel accommodation is well furnished and maintained regularly.  There are many food courts that sell good quality food at reasonable prices. The campus has a big stadium that conducts different cricket matches. Some of the faculty members are cooperative and student-friendly.  The ABES EC placement scenario is decent. The average CTC offered to students is around INR 6 LPA. There are many clubs like Samvaad Theatre Group, Technovation, etc. in which you can take part.  Cons:  ABES EC has a strict 75% attendance rule. Failing to maintain this can lead to detention.  The institute calls parents if they don’t attend your class.  The hostel curfew timing for girls is strict. You need to be inside the hostel premises at 6 pm during winter and 6:30 pm during summer.  The video will take you on a tour across the ABES Capus Overall, your time at ABES EC will be a bittersweet one. Read more
