Ques. What is the difference between the regular Diploma in Electronics & Tele Communication Engineering and the Lateral Entry programme at BBIT?
Ans. The regular Diploma is a 3-year programme starting from the 1st semester, open to Class 10 pass students through JEXPO. The Lateral Entry programme is a 2-year programme (direct admission to 2nd year/3rd semester) for students who have passed 10+2 with Science/Maths or completed a 2-year ITI. Lateral entry students qualify through VOCLET instead of JEXPO.
Ques. Is the VOCLET exam mandatory for lateral entry admission to BBIT's Diploma in Electronics & Tele Communication Engineering?
Ans. Yes, VOCLET (Vocational Lateral Entry Test) conducted by WBSCTVESD is mandatory for admission to the Lateral Polytechnic programme at BBIT. Seats are allotted through centralised counselling based on VOCLET rank.

Ans. The total tuition fee for the 2-year lateral entry programme is approximately Rs. 94,680 (covering 4 semesters). The first semester has a slightly higher fee due to one-time admission charges.
