Q1. What is the difference between BE ISE and BE CSE at GAT Bangalore?
Ans. BE Information Science and Engineering (ISE) and BE Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) are closely related branches at GAT. ISE focuses more on information systems, networking, databases, and software applications, while CSE has a broader scope including hardware, systems programming, and theoretical computer science. Both branches lead to similar career opportunities in the IT industry, and the curriculum overlap is significant from the 3rd semester onwards.
Q2. What is the total fee for BE Lateral ISE at GAT Bangalore?
Ans. The total academic fee for the 3-year BE {Lateral} ISE program at GAT is approximately Rs. 6,60,000 (Rs. 2,20,000 per year) for management quota students. DCET/government quota students pay fees as per Karnataka government norms, which is significantly lower (approximately Rs. 1,00,000 per year). Hostel is available at an additional Rs. 80,000 per year.
