SVIET BPT FAQs
Ques. Does SVIET offer BPT as a standalone degree or is it called B.Sc. Physiotherapy?
Ans. SVIET officially offers the programme as B.Sc. in Physiotherapy on its website, but it is affiliated to MRSPTU and the degree awarded is equivalent to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) recognised by the university. The programme is 4.5 years including a 6-month internship. Students should confirm the exact degree nomenclature with the admissions office before enrolling.
Ques. Is NEET mandatory for BPT admission at SVIET?
Ans. SVIET follows MRSPTU centralised counselling for BPT admissions, which is primarily merit-based on 10+2 PCB marks. NEET is not strictly mandatory for BPT at MRSPTU-affiliated colleges as of the 2025-26 session, unlike MBBS/BDS. However, students with NEET scores may be given preference in some rounds. It is advisable to check the latest MRSPTU eligibility notification for 2026-27 before applying.

Ans. The total tuition fee is Rs. 3,20,000 for the full 4.5-year course (Rs. 40,000 per semester x 8 semesters), plus a one-time non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 20,000. Hostel is optional at Rs. 75,000/year (non-AC). Training and placement charges may be applicable separately as per college guidelines. There are no other major hidden charges, but students should confirm the complete fee structure at the time of admission.
Ques. What are the career options after completing BPT from SVIET?

They can also pursue higher studies such as MPT (Master of Physiotherapy) with specialisations in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Sports, or Cardiopulmonary. Some graduates also opt for government jobs through state health department recruitments or set up their own physiotherapy clinics.
Ques. How is the clinical training structured in the BPT programme at SVIET?
Ans. The BPT programme at SVIET includes clinical training through internships and practical sessions conducted in hospitals and rehabilitation centres under the supervision of experienced physiotherapists. The mandatory 6-month internship at the end of the programme provides hands-on exposure to real patient cases across orthopaedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions. Students are trained in exercise therapy, electrotherapy, and manual therapy techniques throughout the course.
Ques. Can I get admission to BPT at SVIET through management quota, and what are the requirements?
Ans. Yes, SVIET offers a management quota for BPT admissions. Under this quota, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with a minimum of 65% marks in each of the three science subjects. Additionally, candidates must qualify the SVIET EEE (Entrance and Eligibility Examination) conducted by the college. Students interested in the management quota should contact the SVIET admissions office directly for the application process and available seats.
