SVIET MHMCT FAQs
Ques. What is MHMCT and how is it different from MBA in Hotel Management?
Ans. MHMCT (Master of Hotel Management and Catering Technology) is a specialized postgraduate degree specifically designed for hotel management graduates (BHMCT holders). It focuses on advanced operational and managerial aspects of the hospitality industry including hotel operations, F&B management, event management, and hospitality marketing. An MBA in Hotel Management, on the other hand, is a broader management degree with a hospitality specialization, open to graduates from any stream. MHMCT is more industry-specific and operationally focused, while MBA is more management and strategy focused. For BHMCT graduates who want to advance in hotel operations and hospitality management, MHMCT is the more relevant choice.
