Global Group LLB FAQs
Ques. Is the L.L.B. degree from Global Group of Institutes recognized by the Bar Council of India? Can I practice as an advocate after completing it?
Ans. Yes, the L.L.B. programme at Global Group of Institutes is affiliated to GNDU, Amritsar and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). After completing the 3-year L.L.B. and passing the All India Bar Examination (AIBE), graduates can enroll with the State Bar Council and practice as advocates across India in district courts, High Courts, and the Supreme Court.
Ques. Do I need to appear for CLAT or any entrance exam for L.L.B. admission at Global Group of Institutes?
Ans. No. L.L.B. (3-year) admissions at GNDU-affiliated colleges including Global Group of Institutes are purely merit-based on graduation percentage. No entrance exam like CLAT is required. CLAT is relevant only for admission to National Law Universities (NLUs) for the 5-year integrated BA LLB programme. You simply need to register on the Punjab Law Admissions portal (punjablawadmissions.gndu.ac.in) and participate in the online counselling.
Ques. What is the total fee for L.L.B. at Global Group of Institutes, Amritsar?
Ans. The total fee for the 3-year L.L.B. programme is Rs 1.24 Lakhs for the entire duration (approximately Rs 41,333 per year). This is one of the most affordable law programmes in Amritsar. SC/ST students from Punjab can avail Post Matric Scholarship which covers a significant portion of fees. Hostel fee, if opted, is approximately Rs 18,000 per semester extra.
Ques. What is the difference between L.L.B. (3-year) and BA LLB (5-year)? Which should I choose?
Ans. L.L.B. (3-year) is for candidates who have already completed graduation in any discipline. BA LLB (5-year) is an integrated programme for students who want to pursue law directly after 10+2. If you have already completed graduation, the 3-year LLB is the right choice as it is faster and more focused. If you are a 10+2 student, the 5-year BA LLB is recommended as it provides a broader foundation in arts and law simultaneously. Both degrees are recognized by BCI and allow you to practice as an advocate.
Ques. What career options are available after L.L.B. from Global Group of Institutes?
Ans. After L.L.B., graduates can pursue careers as Advocates (practicing in district courts, High Courts, Supreme Court), Legal Consultants, Corporate Lawyers, Legal Advisors in companies, Government Law Officers, and Judicial Services aspirants (through Punjab Civil Services/PCS-J exam). They can also pursue higher studies like LLM (Master of Laws) or specialize in areas like Intellectual Property, Taxation, or Corporate Law. The Amritsar region has a strong legal community with the District and Sessions Court offering good local opportunities.
Ques. Is there any age limit for L.L.B. (3-year) admission? Can working professionals apply?
Ans. As per Bar Council of India norms, there is generally no upper age limit for 3-year L.L.B. admission, making it accessible to working professionals and career changers. Candidates must have completed graduation before applying. Working professionals from fields like business, engineering, medicine, or government services often pursue L.L.B. to enhance their career prospects or transition into the legal profession. The 3-year format is well-suited for such candidates.
