Note: University of Kalyani PG admissions are merit-based (CGPA/percentage in Honours subject) and do not require CUET PG scores. CUET PG may be applicable if the student wishes to apply to central universities. WB PGET is relevant for other state universities in West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must hold a BA (Hons.) degree in Philosophy from any UGC-recognised university under the 10+2+3 pattern.
- Appearing candidates are not eligible; the final result must be published on or before the last date of online application.
- Candidates who passed their qualifying examination before 2025 are not eligible to apply (as per University of Kalyani PG Admission 2026-27 notification).
Admission Process

- Merit list is prepared based on CGPA (or percentage of marks in Honours subject if CGPA is unavailable).
- In case of a tie, aggregate marks of the best five subjects in Higher Secondary Examination are considered.
- Provisional merit list is published on the university portal; shortlisted candidates must complete physical verification of documents at the college.
- Pay admission fee through SBI Collect after document verification.
- 80% seats are for Home University (Kalyani University) students; 20% seats are for students from other universities.
- A second counselling round is conducted if seats remain vacant after the first round.
