GCRG Diploma Civil Engg (Lateral) FAQs
Ques. Is the Diploma in Civil Engineering (Lateral) at GCRG Lucknow a 2-year or 3-year program?
Ans. The lateral entry program is a 2-year course. Students who have passed 10+2 with Science (PCM) get direct admission into the second year of the diploma, effectively skipping the first year. This makes it a faster route to a diploma compared to the regular 3-year program.
Ques. What is the difference between the regular Diploma in Civil Engineering and the Lateral Entry program at GCRG?
Ans. The regular Diploma in Civil Engineering is a 3-year program open to students who have passed Class 10 (with Science). The Lateral Entry program is a 2-year program for students who have completed 10+2 (with PCM), allowing them to join directly in the second year. Both programs are affiliated with UPBTE and lead to the same diploma qualification.
