Colleges Where I Was Accepted
Reason for choosing my college
IU provides a flexible schedule unlike traditional colleges, also, the blended and online programs are a huge win if someone travels a lot or can not attend the university physically. The courses offered are very detailed and authentic. The teachers have a ton of experience in the industry as well as in the teaching route, which is an ideal situation. I would recommend IU to everybody.
Colleges Where I Was Rejected
Reason for Rejection
I believe my application was not up to the mark. The university is very competitive, I already had slim chances but due to my shortcomings, they went down to zero.

Tips to enhance your application
If you aready have your test scores , like IELTS , Testas and certificates that are necessary for admission in Germany , your chances will increase by a landslide
Admission Experience
- Germany is a great choice if you want to take things global, as Berlin is the Silicon Valley of Europe. IU is state and globally accredited, which helped me to make my decision. Due to my interest in Computer Science, I chose the BSc.Computer Science program. As mentioned earlier, Berlin is one of the best cities to find a job, especially in the technical domain. As the world is becoming more and more technologically developed, the requirement for Computer Science Grads is never-ending.
- Everything is great, we have only 3 working days in a week, making it very feasible to do a part-time job along with the studies for earning a livelihood.
- Campus is Beautiful, and is made in such a manner I always feel like studying at the University.
Class Schedule
- Classes: 3 times a week
- Timings: 10 AM to 2 PM (but is flexible and is completely up to you)
- Class Strength: 30 peers (a lot of African and Indian students)
- Indian students strength: Around 15 (Differs for every course)
- Time for Assignment and self-study: Around 2-3 hours (on a good day)
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is quite good. The teachers are very easy to approach. The CS faculties are amazing, and I like them because they have a lot of experience in the industry and they know what the industry demands. Faculties will help if you are a competitive student.
Campus Life
Two campuses are available for International Students, i.e. Berlin and Bad-Honeff. Libraries, accommodations and other facilities are available. I chose the Berlin Campus. Various clubs, like coding, comedy, marketing and other major clubs, are available to choose from.
Part Time Jobs
- At Cafes, restaurants, warehouses, etc., the pay varies from 10 to 16 euros per hour.
- It is quite easy to find these jobs, but I would recommend learning German, that would help you a great deal.
- Fewer students get on-campus jobs, and the typical pay is around 15 Euros per hour. Not many On-campus jobs are available.
- As per German law, 20 hours per week during the semester and 40 hours per week during the semester break.
Placement
- 96% students get job within 6 months, as mentioned on the official website
- Average salary: Around 30-40k Euros (straight out of college)
- You'll have to apply for the interviews and positions by yourself.
- To be truthful, I have no idea about the maximum and minimum salaries
Accommodation
I searched a lot for accommodations and finally found various groups on social media sites via which I rented a shared apartment with 2 of my friends. Please be aware of the scams and false apartment videos that are made to loot you. Always ask for a Legal Contract before finalising.
