15 months Trinity Life

I applied to only Trinity and got admitted. As i mentioned i only applied to Trinity and i luckily got it I was only hoping for Trinity and if I had got rejection I would have waited a year, prepared better and applied again. I chose Trinity as it was my only main aim. Ive heard about it from my seniors in Dublin who are trinity alumni and when i researched I found it to be really good in terms of academics also the length of course was only 1 year and The job opportunities were also good compared to other European countries I applied around November 1st week 2023, Then i got programming test, where i had 2 coding questions easy strings leetcode level, I cleared it,Then My professor got mails for LOR, so they filled it by Nov end . By Jan 1st week, i got offer of acceptance. I think applying early is the key. As soon as the applications open, as there are better chances of proceeding further. Only IELTS is compulsory, GRE is optional, IELTS minimum of 6.5 bands overall. GRE I am not sure. No challenges while applying at all; it's pretty simple and straightforward I would say. I applied for the Fall intake in September 2023. It was a pretty simple decision. Fall usually has the largest number of students, so the chances of getting in are better. I applied to only 2 colleges 1. Trinity college dublin - Admitted 2. UCD- Rejected I received confirmed admission from TCD only,I received rejection from UCD UCD rejected me because I applied via an Agent and they did not submit my marksheets and IELTS score card. UCD asked for those docs but again I think they rejected me because I also applied late. I chose this college as TCD had better ranking than other colleges in Ireland, it had great alumni connections, good courses and research opportunities IETS, GRE, SOP,LOR, Resume and Academic marksheets 10th-12th graduation. Everything online  submission. Followed by a coding exam I think the minimum is 6.5 bands in IELTS. Rest is completely dependent on your overall profile and SOP. It was pretty simple via the tcd  portal. Challenges nothing as such, if in case we had any then there is an helpline support mail. I applied to the following colleges: Trinity College Dublin, Ireland—Admitted Griffith College Dublin, Ireland—Admitted Illinois Institute of Technology, USA—Admitted Kent State University, USA—Admitted University of Illinois Springfield, USA—Admitted. I received confirmed admission from all the above colleges; however, I chose TCD as my final choice. I choose TCD because of its ranking and reputation. TCD ticked all the boxes, such as State of Art teaching, facilities, research opportunities and so on. Moreover, the course I applied for was best suited for my interest in AI and Software Development. All these reasons made TCD my final choice. Admission Process for TCD is fairly simple and easy. It begins with an initial application form, and if selected further, applicants receive a test (coding in my case). If the test is cleared, applicants are offered a seat in their applied course. Eligibility Criteria is not explicitly stated apart from IELTS or Duolingo as English language tests, of which the minimum criteria is a 6.5 band in IELTS. Rest depends on the candidate's cgpa and SOP. Overall, the admission experience was good, right from the application form to starting the semester. College provides all the facilities, such as the Academic Registry for application-related doubts or a regional officer for any queries. Every query is answered. I wanted to pursue a master's to further deepen my knowledge and I found this was the right time to pursue it. This decision was heavily influenced by the boom and recent advances in AI and ML. I applied for the following universities: Trinity College Dublin – Accepted University College Dublin – Rejected I think I was rejected from UCD because I applied through Idp consulting, and since I did it through them, my application fees were basically free, so I think there might have been a situation where candidates who paid for their application fees were accepted. I do know a couple of people in UCD; none of them used Idp services, I'm pretty sure I also applied very near to the deadline. I chose this college because even if I had been accepted into UCD, I would have still joined TCD solely for its rankings. As for the admission process, It was pretty straightforward: submit personal details, submit an Statement of purpose, Cover letter, Letter of recommendation and Resume, and then after 3 to 4 weeks, I got my results and I had to pay a deposit of 500 euros to confirm my seat. The eligibility criteria for admission For both TCD and UCD, only IELTS is needed; the minimum score they require is 6.5 but I received a score of 8.5. Overall admission experience : Well My admission process was very smooth; they had a personal portal where I was able to pay the required fees as if I was ordering something from Amazon. It was very easy and instant. I went through consultancy; they explained each and every single step to me. I was given a list of documents that I needed to prepare for my college application and visa application. I started my application process during October 2023 and received admission during December 2023. It was the fact that I was able to get a master's degree within 1 year and also it was around 20 Lakhs. I was also intrigued by the college ranking. TCD is ranked 81st in the World. I focused on my CV and SOP mainly because i wanted to put my best foot forward. I did not receive any rejections at all.  TCD is literally the no.1 in Ireland and it has got a great reputation outside Ireland as well. Lot of practical and critical thinking throughout the course. Gives you the ability to research on your own on multiple things. Definitely collaboration with multiple organizations during the course. If you're investing money in Ireland then TCD is the best. The admission process is pretty simple and easy. You just need to fill the application forma and then you pay the application fees for TCD. Applied to 5 universities and got accepted in 3. 1. Trinity College Dublin - Accepted 2. University College Dublin - Accepted 3. Northeastern University - Accepted 4. University of Maryland, College Park - Rejected 5. University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign - Rejected. I believe a major reason for getting rejections was my low GPA (8.37) in bachelors and also a upto par SOP.  1. I chose Trinity since out of the 5 colleges, it had the best curriculum and ranking also the course structure was exactly what I was aiming for. 2. After application, they provide a programming test which is very trivial but also requires students to score 100%, after which depending on your profile you can be accepted and rejected into the Computer Science strand you applied to.  3. Accepted exams:- IELTS, TOEFL. Required band in IELTS:- 7, in toefl score above 100 is preferred. 4. I believe that the admission process was very transparent and as per the timeline provided by the college, most of the times the admission committee was quick with responses to my queries which helped me accelerate the process. I applied for Fall intake(September entry). Since Trinity only opens for fall and summer intake and the majority of students are enrolled in September intake which provides a more chance of acceptance. Hence I choose the fall intake. Manchester University,  Admitted University of Glasgow, Admitted Queen Mary University London, Admitted Stony Brook University, Rejected University of Illinois U.C Rejected University of Alberta Rejected I was majorly rejected by Universities in Canada and USA possibly because their masters are more research oriented and my profile was more fit for taught master's programs hence i got accepted to all the UK and Ireland universities i applied to. I chose Trinity College as it is the #1 ranked university in Ireland and tech giants like Microsoft and Amazon are known to hire from Trinity College Dublin. Additionally it is also much more cheaper in terms of tuition fees compared to my other offer from Manchester University. The Admission process after applying consisted of a programming test where I was required to code in Either C, C++, or Java. The test was relatively simple and was intended to check whether I was familiar with basic programming concepts. After attempting the test, I soon got a conditional offer as I had not yet graduated at that time. I was required to provide Trinity with my provisional degree before the start of the semester to get the unconditional offer. In terms of eligibility criteria, the university requires an upper second-class (2.1) Honours degree, in my case this meant I had to score more than 70% in my Bachelor's Program. Additionally there is an English language requirement, the minimum scores of the accepted tests are as follows: IELTS : 6.5 overall, 6.0 in each band Duolingo : 120 overall 100 in each sub score TOEFL iBT: 90 overall 21 in each section Cambridge Advanced or Proficiency : 180 overall no score below 170 PTE Academic/Pearson : 69 overall 59 in each section I myself had taken the TOEFL iBT and scored 111. My overall admission experience was very pleasant, my visa got approved in the first try even though I only had a conditional offer, this was likely due Trinity's reputation. A challenge I faced during the application process was that my professors from my Indian college missed the email for sending out my references because of which I had to request Trinity College to extend the deadline for sending references. Trinity was very supportive and extended the deadline for me and my professors were then able to send out my references. Also, another positive factor was that they sent out the acceptance fairly quickly, but the deadline for paying the deposit to confirm the seat was within 30 days, which is relatively short compared to other universities. There is only one intake for this course, which is during September.I had applied on 2nd December, 2023.I received the invite for the programming test on 20th December, 2023.I received the conditional offer letter on 29th January, 2024.I received the unconditional offer letter on 24th July, 2024 after submitting my provisional degree.
