ABES Engineering College in Ghaziabad is a well-known private institution in Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1999 by Mr Ved Prakash Goel, it has built a solid reputation over the years. The college is tied to AKTU and has AICTE approval. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It's often ranked among the top 10 institutes under UPTU.
The campus is large and equipped with modern labs, a library, and roomy classrooms. While it's primarily an engineering college, it also has management courses. Getting in is quite straightforward as students can take the JEE Mains or UPSEE exams for admission. The tuition fees are quite reasonable, with the annual cost being 1,10,000. This fee only covers tuition, and it might differ depending on the course you choose.
Hey there. I graduated from ABES Engineering College in Ghaziabad back in 2012. At the time I joined, the college had a solid reputation, though I can't say how it stands now. The infrastructure was impressive, possibly the best in the university. The teaching staff was a mixed bag; some were fantastic, while others were not so great. I did my bachelor's in electronics and communication, but job opportunities for EC students were pretty limited. I recall Cadence being the only company that hired about 8 to 10 students from our group. On the other hand, computer science students had better luck with placements. I ended up in an IT firm myself. TCS recruited around 250 students, and IGate took about 25 to 30, with a salary offer of 3.5 LPA. Not many big names came for recruitment, and a few that did offered less than 3 LPA. I'm now working in Hyderabad with a decent salary of 10 LPA.
The student body is quite focused on academics, so expect a competitive environment. If you're thinking of having a laid-back time, you might want to reconsider. The college administration prioritizes academics and discipline. You need to earn your internal marks, and attendance is strictly monitored. The first year might be challenging, but you'll likely get used to it by the end of the year.
Overall, it's an average college. If you're an average student (I had 65%, which is considered low for ABES) but are fluent in English and confident, you can still land a job. Just keep your college life expectations realistic. Hope this helps!
