Which is better Chennai Institute of Technology or Rajalakshmi Engineering College?

Both colleges are great and offer PEGA software courses. However, I can share more about CIT since I am more familiar with it. Just a heads up, my view might be a bit partial. CIT did really well in academics and was ranked 2nd under Anna University, which is quite impressive!

Chennai Institute of Technology is a great choice for Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The faculty members are very friendly and knowledgeable, often holding PhDs. They offer great support, especially when it comes to understanding the course material and preparing for exams. The placement opportunities are also impressive; I’ve seen packages going as high as 52 LPA! Plus, the college conducts regular assessments to help us stay on track. Overall, I feel well-supported in my journey here.

I'd recommend Rajalakshmi Engineering College. I'm currently studying for my BTech there, so I have a good understanding of the benefits. The campus is really nice, with lots of greenery and a friendly atmosphere. The staff are approachable, and the campus is very welcoming to students. Plus, being an autonomous institution, it offers a flexible education system and exams that are more student-friendly.

The college also has great labs and projects funded by the government. From my point of view, Chennai Institute of Technology doesn't quite match up. Although it has strong industrial connections and its chairman is an industrialist, it lacks the autonomy and has less experience. Rajalakshmi's courses have NBA accreditation, and it's ranked among the top 10% of colleges in India by NIRF. I hope this helps you make a better choice for college admission.

I would say Rajalakshmi Engineering College has its strengths, especially in the VLSI Design & Technology program. The curriculum is well-structured, focusing on real-world applications, which is great for practical learning. However, the faculty-to-student ratio could use improvement as there are more students than teachers, which sometimes makes it tough to get individual attention. Still, the college offers a decent placement rate with various companies visiting for recruitment.

Since becoming autonomous, REC has grown a lot and offers many more opportunities now.
