I'd definitely recommend KIET, and I'm not saying this just because I graduated from there. My opinion is based on my four years of experience at the college. The teachers here are the backbone of the institute. Compared to other UPTU colleges, KIET boasts some of the most knowledgeable and experienced faculty members across all branches.
The placement cell is pretty decent. It's not amazing, but it gets the job done. Students from any field can expect to get offers around 3 to 4 lpa. I studied Civil Engineering and landed a job at Tech Mahindra with a package of 3.07 lpa. While there are some lucky ones who manage to get double that amount, such cases are rare and depend largely on personal effort. Companies like Tech Mahindra and TCS are frequent recruiters, so you can be quite confident about securing a job by the time you finish your degree. Additionally, KIET churns out a good number of students who clear GATE and other competitive exams, thanks to the academically focused environment and supportive faculty.
The campus has almost every facility you might need, or they're located nearby. Plus, there is no dress code, which is a big plus. It adds to the college vibe and gives you a break from that high school uniform feel that is common in many other UPTU colleges.
I'm not trying to favor any college here, just sharing some well-known insights. KIET is generally ranked higher compared to Galgotias among private colleges under AKTU. Recent semester results show that KIET delivers excellent education. Each department at KIET has unique centers of excellence. The TBI at KIET supports new entrepreneurs. These factors, among others, contribute to KIET being considered one of the top colleges in northern India.
I think KIET has an edge over Galgotia College, even though I am a student at Galgotias. At Galgotias, landing a job is tough unless you're in CS, IT, or ECE branches. However, if you're looking for hands-on experience in core branches, Galgotias might be a better choice than KIET. The faculty at Galgotias is decent, but KIET's faculty is really impressive.
