As a student in Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering) at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, it's essential to know that the curriculum is quite comprehensive, covering both theoretical and practical aspects. The exams are manageable, and we typically have two mid-semester exams and a final exam each semester.

Placement opportunities are robust, with many companies visiting for recruitment starting from the 6th semester. The hostel facilities are decent but could be improved; the food is average at best. Engaging in campus clubs and events can really enrich your college experience and help you build a network.

We have two mandatory internships during our course, which are crucial for gaining industry experience. The placement cell is quite active, helping students secure offers from leading companies, although competition can be tough.

The fee structure is a bit on the higher side, but scholarships are available for eligible students. Campus life is vibrant with numerous clubs and events, which makes it easier to connect with peers. Just be prepared for the food in the hostel; it's decent, but not something to write home about.

CIT is a pretty relaxed place, though your experience can vary a lot based on your department. Occasionally, the schedule can feel a bit intense. Not all the teachers are super friendly, so be mindful of that. Between KB and RB, KB is the preferred choice.

So, every student at CIT is aware that the management isn't very supportive when it comes to trying or starting new things. They really don't like the concept of "new." The management is a great example of how bureaucracy works. They are quite slow in responding to any requests or ideas. They often claim that CIT is a prestigious place, but in reality, it used to be prestigious. People from outside might believe it's a top institution, but only those from CIT know the true story.
