What is your review of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies??

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies can be a bit of a shock for many students dreaming of Delhi University. The campus isn't the picturesque college setting you might have imagined. It's located across the Yamuna and operates in a rather old setup, with a makeshift canteen under a tin roof. Throughout the three years, it's common to find yourself complaining.

However, if you manage to adapt and make the most of it, the college offers valuable experiences. One standout feature is its students. You'll find some of the brightest peers here, who you'll both love and find challenging. Getting into college societies is tough, and participating in events can be competitive. Not everyone makes it through to the second year on the first try, and those who barely pass feel a huge sense of relief.

You'll find yourself in a constant battle to maintain that 60% attendance. It's hectic and wild, but when you look back, you'll realize it was all incredibly worthwhile.

As a student of Bachelor of Financial Investment Analysis (BFIA) at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, I can say the faculty here is top-notch, and they really know their stuff. The curriculum is well-structured, focusing heavily on finance, which is what I wanted. The placement cell is quite active, and many students, including myself, are excited about the opportunities.

The average package is around 11 LPA, which is decent. However, the campus doesn't have the lively atmosphere of some other DU colleges since it’s off-campus. Still, it’s a great place for anyone serious about a career in finance.

First off, let me say that my view is quite biased since I'm an alum.

SSCBS is a fantastic place to spend three years. The people you meet, both classmates and seniors, really help you get ready for what's ahead.

The teachers range from excellent to not-so-great, but you'll learn to manage with all of them. The coursework isn't too heavy, giving you plenty of spare time for various activities.

Societies are a huge part of the SSCBS experience, even if they lose some importance after the second year. They build character but might not boost your resume much. Enactus and CDC are top for your CV. For cultural groups, check out Renaissance and Illuminati. The street play and music societies are among the best around.

Our alumni network is very strong within DU. Even though they're spread out, past students are always ready to help current ones. They often help guide you in making decisions and shaping your thoughts.

While you may miss the north campus life, you have plenty of alternatives like the cross river mall, mathela, maggi point, and wink. There are also new hangout spots if you're interested, plus SP or sutta point for smokers.

Internships and job placements are crucial if you're not considering a master's degree. Having contacts for internships is beneficial. Getting an internship at a multinational company can lead to great job offers, but even without it, placements are excellent. We have one of the highest placement rates for undergrad colleges. Your salary will depend on your skills and field. Opting for finance often leads to better placements in the third year.

There’s also a growing entrepreneurial vibe at SSCBS. Start your projects early to see how they pan out. And don't forget about the library. It's well-stocked, and there's plenty of time to dive into reading. If I have one regret, it's not spending more time there.

In the end, your time at SSCBS will be incredible. You'll likely be sharper than peers from the north and south campuses. Unless you're off to Harvard for undergrad, SSCBS is a great choice without any hesitation.

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies is quite unique. If you're looking for an easy college experience where you can skip classes and not worry about your resume, CBS might not be for you. This place not only covers the theory but also shows you how management works in real life.

We have classes that go on until the evening, and everyone juggles various extracurricular activities. Plus, you have to keep an eye on attendance and, of course, exams. Yet, most students do really well in all areas. CBS pushes you to manage your time better and become more efficient.

The teachers here are truly dedicated, and our principal is probably one of the most approachable in all of Delhi University. As for the BMS course, whether it's good or not depends on your goals. But when it comes to my experience at CBS, I'm thrilled with my choice and couldn't be happier.

I chose to study BMS at SSCBS mainly for its reputation in placements and quality education. The faculty here is really supportive and knowledgeable. The curriculum includes practical knowledge, which helps in understanding business concepts better.

However, I feel the internship opportunities could be more accessible; many students tend to seek off-campus internships because the on-campus options are limited. The placements are impressive, with an average package of about 12 LPA, so that’s a big plus. But the campus isn’t very large, and sometimes it feels a bit isolated from the rest of the college scene in Delhi University.
