Pros:

  • You can expect a good salary after graduation if you're an average or above-average student.
  • Being surrounded by peers who are engaged in extra activities like courses, competitions, projects, and internships can inspire you to do the same and help in your career and placements.

Cons:

  • There's not much geographical variety among students.
  • The high competition can sometimes make you feel down, even when you're doing well.
  • There are many student societies, but most don't offer practical experiences and exist just for the sake of it.
  • Not all rooms are equipped with air conditioning, nor is the canteen, and there's no regular water-cooling on each floor.
  • The canteen mainly serves junk food, which isn't very tasty, and there aren't many good food options nearby. The area around the college doesn't have many useful shops either.
  • The back corridors can be unpleasant due to a nearby sewer, which gives off a bad smell, making you think, "What a place this is."

P.S.: Please excuse any mistakes; I was in a rush while writing.

I’m currently doing BBA (Financial Investment Analysis) at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, and I have a few thoughts. The faculty is great, and they really know their stuff. The course is well-structured, focusing on finance from the get-go, which I appreciate. Plus, the placement scene is strong with an average package of over 13 LPA, which is quite appealing.

But the campus is a bit small and off-campus, so if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere, it might not be the best fit. Overall, it’s a solid choice for academics, but campus life leaves something to be desired.

Studying BMS at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies has been a mixed bag for me. The faculty is quite knowledgeable and the curriculum is practical, preparing us for real-world scenarios. The placement opportunities are excellent too, with an average package of about 11 LPA and top companies like Bain and McKinsey coming for recruitment.

However, the campus life could use some improvement. The annual fest, Crescendo, is decent, but overall, the extracurricular activities and social life seem limited, making it feel a bit dull at times.

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies has its ups and downs. On the plus side, the B.Sc {Hons.} (Computer Science) course has a great faculty with many teachers holding PhDs. The internship opportunities are solid, with companies like McKinsey and Lenskart offering stipends of up to 70k. Also, the placement stats are impressive, with more than 93% of students getting placed and an average package of 11.1 LPA.

However, the campus life isn't as vibrant since it's off-campus compared to North Campus colleges, which can be a bummer for those looking for a bustling college experience.
