Whats your story of getting into MAMC Delhi?

Getting into MAMC was a dream come true for me. I took the NEET exam and managed to secure a good rank. Once the results came out, I went through the counseling process and submitted all my documents.

The competition is tough since MAMC has a high cut-off, but I was thrilled when I got my allotment. The college has a fantastic reputation, and I love the fact that we get a lot of practical exposure right from the start. The professors are really supportive, making the adjustment to college life much easier.

About three years ago, I had no idea about MAMC until my botany teacher raved about it. Her enthusiasm piqued my interest, so I decided to check it out online. I remember it was late at night when I was browsing through pictures and information about the college. I was so excited that I even woke up my mom to show her, and she was like, "You woke me up for this?"

When I finally visited the college, which was conveniently close to where I live, I fell in love with it instantly. The next thing I needed to do was figure out how to get in. I asked my teachers about the required scores and study tips, and they gave me great advice.

Everything was on track except for one major problem—Physics. My physics teacher wasn't great. It's not just that I struggled with the subject; he genuinely didn't teach well, not even at the board level, much less for PMT. I tried to self-study and asked my friends for help, but it wasn't enough. Because of this, my biology and chemistry scores also suffered.

In NEET 2017, I scored 525, mostly due to my struggle with physics, which impacted my other subjects too. I didn't get any admission offers.

Determined to improve, I decided to give it another shot. I heard about TARGET PMT in Janakpuri, known for its excellent physics teachers, and the improvement students experienced there. I joined, and it was true—both my physics and chemistry improved significantly. The teachers were amazing.

In 2018, I took NEET again and scored 615, which was enough to get me into my dream college, Maulana Azad Medical College.

That's how I made it to MAMC!

I always dreamed of attending Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), even more than AIIMS Delhi. I can't really explain why, but maybe I just felt MAMC was the right place for me. I put all my energy into getting into MAMC, which might have affected my AIIMS results.

I took a gap year and focused everything on the NEET exam. For biology, I treated NCERT like it was my holy book, which sounds funny, but it worked out since I scored 345 in that subject. It's something I'm really proud of.

As for physics, I honestly have no idea where my NCERT book is because I mainly used Aakash modules and past question papers. I practiced those repeatedly, and eventually, I could answer many questions without solving them in detail, which turned out to be a smart move.

In chemistry, I relied on NCERT for organic and inorganic topics because Aakash modules were quite intimidating. For physical chemistry, I used both Aakash modules and NCERT exercises.

Once the exam was over and the answer keys came out, I found out I scored over 600 marks, which was a relief since it was above the last year's cutoff for MAMC. I joined the counseling process and got into MAMC, and life felt great again.

When August 1, 2017, arrived, I realized how amazing it was to be at MAMC. The faculty organized orientation programs to help us newbies get ready for the exciting journey ahead.

I always wanted to be a doctor and after completing my 12th, I knew that MBBS was the right path for me. So, I prepared for NEET and scored well. The admission process was pretty straightforward. I filled out the counseling form after the results were out, and due to my rank, I got a seat in MAMC.

The cut-off was quite high, but I was lucky to get in. I remember feeling nervous during the admission days, but everything went smoothly once I reached the college for document verification. The faculty here is top-notch, and the clinical exposure is amazing.

I chose to pursue MBBS because I've always been passionate about medicine. I prepared hard for NEET and thankfully, I scored well enough to get a seat in MAMC, which was my top choice. The admission process involved filling out the counseling form and attending the document verification at the college. It was a bit overwhelming, but I got through it.

The faculty-student ratio is decent, and the professors are extremely knowledgeable. I’m excited about the learning opportunities and the internship I’ll get after finishing the course.
