What are the disadvantages of studying at Sri Venkateswara College or Ramjas College Delhi University DU? Which college is considered better and why?

Studying at Sri Venkateswara College for my Bachelor of Arts in Economics has its fair share of downsides. First off, the curriculum can feel quite outdated. While it covers essential economic concepts, there’s a lack of emphasis on practical applications and modern issues like data science, which are crucial in today’s job market.

Additionally, the pressure from frequent exams and assignments can be overwhelming, leaving little room for deep understanding. The placement cell does work hard, but the average package is around 6 to 7 LPA, which isn’t great compared to some other colleges. Overall, while it’s a decent college, there are areas that definitely need improvement.

At Sri Venkateswara College, the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science has some notable disadvantages. The curriculum, while rich in content, often lacks practical exposure and skills training that are essential for real-world applications. The faculty is knowledgeable, but the teaching methods can sometimes feel rigid, focusing more on theory than engaging discussions.

Also, there's significant pressure during exams, and many students tend to pursue further studies instead of looking for placements. The overall placement rate is low for our course, as most students aim for UPSC or similar competitive exams.

I’m pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in English at Sri Venkateswara College, and while the faculty is generally supportive, some professors are really strict, which makes the learning environment a bit stressful. The curriculum is good, but it could benefit from more practical applications.
