I also got into the ACM program at NICMAR Pune. Let's connect and chat about it. You can find me on Facebook under the name Sunand Mahajan. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!
I recently got into NICMAR Pune for the MBA in Project Management, and so far, I'm feeling positive about it. The fees are pretty steep, but the scholarship options help a bit. The faculty-to-student ratio is great, which means we get good attention. The curriculum is relevant, and I appreciate the focus on industry standards. I've heard that 97% of students get placed, which is quite reassuring. If you’re serious about a career in this field, NICMAR seems like a solid option.
Congrats on your selection! I'm also joining NICMAR Pune's ACM branch this year, so maybe we'll bump into each other. Growing up in a civil engineering family, I've chatted with many industry pros, and they all speak highly of NICMAR's ACM course. It's well-respected in the civil sector. Sure, the starting salaries aren't as high as in IT or software, but that's pretty standard. Having this course on your resume can really set you apart in the long run and gives you an advantage compared to others. Plus, NICMAR grads often get chosen over typical MBA holders in the civil field.
The fee is quite steep at 15.2 lakhs, but there are education loans available. HDFC Credila, for instance, offers rates as low as 7.95%. Current students mentioned that due to COVID, the average placement package has dipped to around 5–5.25 lakhs per year. This means it might take about 4-5 years to break even, which seems long. However, the knowledge and experience you gain are invaluable, and once you've paid off your loan, your future will look much brighter.
I'm deciding to join because I believe it's worth it despite the hefty fee. Just consider where you see yourself in the future, your financial situation, and the potential return on your investment. Thanks!
I am in the MBA Construction Management program at NICMAR Pune, and I believe it’s a decent choice. While the fees are around 16 lakhs for the 21-month program, the placements are good. Companies like L&T and HILTI recruit from here, and the faculty are experienced and know how to teach practical applications.
However, I did find that some faculty could improve on showing real-world applications. The overall campus life is vibrant with sports and cultural fests, which makes the experience enjoyable.
First off, big congrats on getting in! I think joining is a good idea. Sure, the pandemic is a concern, but by 2022 when you finish, it should be much better. I know it's easier said than done.
I got into RICS, Mumbai for Project Management this year and had my doubts too, especially with COVID hitting Mumbai hard. But I chose to move forward! Think about it this way: if a well-known company offered you a job, would you hesitate? In my opinion, wasting another year isn't the best move. If you're currently working, that's okay since you already know a bit about the industry. But if you're not working or are a recent graduate, I'd say go for it! Stay determined and patient.
From what I understand, you probably won't be on campus anytime soon, as classes might be online for the next 6 months to a year. Tests and exams could also be online. Let's hope for the best and that things return to normal soon. Good luck with your career!
