How well does a day go in NICMAR?

A day at NICMAR for me as a B.Tech Civil Engineering student is pretty dynamic. We have a structured timetable with classes focusing on real-world applications. The faculty generally use presentations and diagrams to teach, which helps in understanding complex topics.

We also have regular site visits, which I find very engaging. Exams are every month, but I don't find them too difficult, which keeps the stress levels manageable. However, I wish there were more elective options available.

Overall, my day includes attending lectures, participating in practical sessions, and preparing for upcoming assessments.

Classes at NICMAR kick off at 9 in the morning. Each session lasts about 70 to 80 minutes. You'll have a short break of 10 to 15 minutes between each class. Twice a week, there are workshops for software and soft skills. The schedule at NICMAR isn’t overly packed, so you’ll have plenty of time for personal growth.

Make sure to exercise, improve your soft skills, and put in a lot of effort, and you’ll secure a job.

My experience in the MBA Project Management course at NICMAR is quite fulfilling. The curriculum is closely aligned with industry standards, which I appreciate. Classes include a mix of presentations and discussions, making the learning interactive. Starting from the third semester, we can apply for placements, and I’ve heard that 97% of students get placed, which is encouraging. The faculty is approachable, and they genuinely care about our learning, which makes a big difference. My day usually involves attending classes, working on assignments, and getting involved in club activities.

A day at NICMAR feels like paradise; those moments become cherished memories. I studied at NICMAR Hyderabad in a one-year program, but I think my experience is similar to other campuses, too.

In the first month, I spent a lot of time getting to know my fellow students. Then the routine kicked in. Classes began at 9:15 in the morning, so I would sleep in until 8:30 and get ready by 9. Breakfast was always a highlight for me; I never missed it because it was the best meal of the day. We didn’t have full-day classes, so after lunch, we were mostly free. We’d spend that time chatting and having fun together. Classes wrapped up by 5 PM, and then we’d grab snacks and some of us would play sports. Evening walks were amazing, with paths alongside green fields and fresh air. As the city was a bit far, we’d visit a nearby village to pick up things. The people there were really nice.

I’d watch movies, TV shows, and videos in the evenings. Honestly, I can’t even count how many I watched there. Everyone at NICMAR seemed to be night owls. I usually went to bed around 1:30 or 2 AM, though sometimes we stayed up playing PUBG until 4 AM. Weekends were completely free, and I often spent them in the city, leaving Friday evening and coming back Monday morning. Celebrations, whether for birthdays or placements, were unmatched. Those days at NICMAR are something I really miss.

Being in the MBA Construction Management program, I find my day revolves around both academics and practical insights. The faculty-student ratio is good, so we get personal attention. The faculty are experienced and provide valuable insights, especially related to field applications. We have a variety of cultural fests and sports activities, which keeps the campus life vibrant. However, I did notice some areas for improvement, like the lack of basic amenities in the hostel washrooms. Overall, my day consists of classes, group work, and participating in various extracurricular activities.
