NIT Trichy's B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering generally has a stronger placement record compared to NIT Rourkela's B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering. Trichy benefits from a curriculum closely tied to real-world applications, which attracts top tech companies during placements, offering lucrative packages and internships. In contrast, while Rourkela's biomedical program is promising, the job market for biomedical engineers is not as robust, leading to fewer high-paying opportunities.

If you're inclined towards a more stable and lucrative career in tech, NIT Trichy is the better choice; however, if you're passionate about healthcare technology and innovation, NIT Rourkela could be worth considering despite the comparatively lower placement prospects.

NIT Trichy’s B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering stands out with a more hands-on curriculum and better campus life, offering numerous tech events and internships that attract major companies. The faculty, while hit-or-miss in terms of interaction, still provides a solid foundation in practical applications. In contrast, NIT Rourkela’s B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering also has a good reputation but may not match the breadth of opportunities available at Trichy.

If you’re leaning towards a more dynamic environment with extensive placement options in tech, NIT Trichy is the clear choice; however, if you have a genuine interest in biomedical fields and want a slightly different focus, NIT Rourkela could be a good fit.

NIT Trichy's B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a solid curriculum linked to real-world problems, and its fees are around Rs.60,000 per semester with good scholarship opportunities for economically weaker students. In contrast, NIT Rourkela's B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, while also having a decent curriculum, tends to have a higher fee structure and fewer details about financial aid. Both colleges attract strong placement offers from tech giants, but NIT Trichy appears to provide better ROI given its lower fees and strong placement records. If you're looking for value for money and a more hands-on approach, NIT Trichy would be the smarter choice, while NIT Rourkela might suit those deeply interested in the biomedical field despite potentially higher costs.

The Electrical Engineering department at NIT Rourkela is one of the best in the country! College life and academics here are a dream. The placement scenario is on par with CSE. Students get placed in PSUs and core companies like Tata Steel and Bajaj, as well as software giants like Amazon, Microsoft, and Myntra. Several electronics companies, including Analog Devices and Qualcomm, hire a large number of students.

Many students opt for higher studies, like M.Tech or PSUs through GATE. Double-digit ranks in GATE often come from this department. The state-of-the-art facilities allow students to dive deep and take a keen interest in research.

Note: Professors are quite strict, so you need to work hard for a good CGPA. If you're interested in core subjects, this is definitely a plus!
