Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology is a well-recognized college for pursuing both diploma and degree courses in pharmacy in Kolkata. Check out the official website at https://www.gnipst-pc.ac.in/ for detailed information on course structure and placement opportunities!
Adamas University Kolkata stands out for its strong internship and placement opportunities, boasting a placement rate of over 80% with many companies visiting for recruitment, while Sister Nivedita University claims a 100% placement rate for its medical sciences students, but it appears less detailed about internships. Adamas offers a comprehensive curriculum with digital teaching methods and a variety of projects, which can enhance practical experience. In terms of career outcomes, Adamas University seems to provide more diverse job roles and better internship exposure, which can ultimately lead to better job packages. If you want a well-rounded experience with good placement prospects, Adamas University would be the better choice, but if you’re looking for guaranteed placements specifically in medical fields, Sister Nivedita University could be your pick.
Jadavpur University is the top choice for B.Pharm in West Bengal. It’s a government institute. To get into their Pharmaceutical department, you need to qualify for WBJEE (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths). Admission to JU is based on your engineering rank. For the unreserved category, a rank around 2k should secure you a spot.
For other colleges, the Pharmacy rank is considered (this rank is based on your Physics and Chemistry marks only). Besides JU, I recommend Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology. It has excellent placement records and a solid faculty. The course curriculum is well-covered too. However, keep in mind that it's a private college, and the fees per semester are around 70k. If budget isn’t a concern, this is a great option!
If your rank is good but finances are tight, the college reserves a few seats (4–5) for TFW candidates, where the semester fee is about 10k. Educational loans are also an option if you’re keen on pursuing B.Pharm.
Best wishes!
Adamas University Kolkata offers a more vibrant campus life with regular festivals and well-equipped classrooms, making it an exciting place to study B.Pharm. They provide good internship opportunities and a solid placement rate of over 80%, which is impressive. On the other hand, Sister Nivedita University Kolkata boasts a 100% placement record, but the details about campus life and extracurricular activities are less compelling.
Personally, I would lean towards Adamas University for its engaging campus environment and better internship prospects, but if placement is your top priority, Sister Nivedita University might be a safer bet. Choose based on what you value more: a lively college experience or guaranteed job placements.
