The college is liberal in all ways of Teaching and guiding students. There are numerous oppurtunities to develop ourselves on our own interest. This is the positive point of my college. But job opportunities in core fields are not up to level. Except that everything is fine.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good and it is friendly to go with. They followed Outcome based education criteria and it helps in stimulating the practical knowledge along with the theory content of engineering. Since my department is electronics and communication, we have lab sessions for almost all our subjects and hence it is additionally satisfactory to learn all my curriculum. We have two internals each covering 50 percentage of syllabus and a final internal which covers entire syllabus of that particular subject. This is highly helpful In having good preparation for our semester examinations
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are good. But core company placements are quite less compared to IT fields. But there are numerous oppurtunities in IT sector. They also provide placement classes to enhance our coding skills. This helps in placements. They also teach us soft skills and the basic nature of interviews through a subject called Proffesional communication. This plays a good role in placements. As per my knowledge my college may provide any internship. But am unaware of it.
College Events
Our college celeberates technical culturals for each department which paves way for management skills and technical expertise in core fields.They also contain non technical culturals for every even semester which includes dance drama and music
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is highly feasible and not expensive at all. The merit fee includes 9000 - 16000.The bus fee includes 12000-16000.The entire fee structure is feasible for all the students and management sector students pays higher than merit category students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college provides Alumni scholarship for students who are economically lagging for their fees. The scholarships are provided based on the annual income of the parents and economical situation of the family. It is very helpful for students. There is no loan facility provided in our college.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are appreciated. The lab facility are enormous and highly sophisticated. The sports activities are encouraged and there are teams for various sports. Each teams are taken to zonal and state and national level games and they make pride to our college.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is not directly connected with the students. But the faculty members help in contact with the alumni if needed. The successful persons are called to give a speech reagarding their experiences in success. That is helpful to make our career success.
Admission
I scored 1169 in my higher secondary public examination with 198.25 Engineering cut off. So I chose this college in Engineering couselling held at Anna university ,Chennai.I was called for Counselling on first day of engineering counselling 2015. I went along with my father. I was about to choose on the afternoon. I have various options for my marks. I had a plan to choose Electronics and communication Department in Thiagarajar College of Engineering. As per my plan. I found 120 seats for that particular department in my favorite college. Hence I Chose that and pursued my studies in Madurai.
Faculty
The faculty of out college is so friendly and skillful. Especially my department have the best staffs to provide exhaustive knowledge about the curriculum and they clear my doubts whenever necessary.They used to give three assignments per subject on each semester which gives us experience in exploring the subject. We used to search a lot regarding those assignments. This also helps in academics and practical knowledge. They also guide us for internships and paper presentations.This is very helpful for our future career.
