east and west NIE is best

National institute of engineering is one of the top colleges of Mysore and Karnataka. Recently it is granted a university status and has jumped from autonomous to NIE university. Many students from outside the state do study here.

The course curriculum is good,knowledge filled and informative.we will be having usually 6 subjects in each semester,also they teach us about environmental studies,engineering ethics,constitution of India as perks.Exam is conducted for 100 marks,then it is reduced to 50,the other 50 is taken from continuous internal evaluation.

our college doesn't provide any internships but they encourage us to do one.We have to find a good place to do internship on ourselves.Many companies for different branches do come to our college for campus placements.

There is a famous event that is conducted every year called TECHNIEKS.It is conducted at march April months.It is conducted for three days.many celebrities are invited to give their appearances.There will be a concert where we dance and enjoy.Many cultural activities and competitions are also conducted.

We have to pay the higher KEA fees every year.It is quite expensive but is not too much when compared to other engineering colleges.So i will say it is quite feasible.I had to pay around 60,000 this year.

I don't know any information about the scholarship offered by our college. I consider this as lack of my knowledge.I think loan facilities are not offered by our college.i have not availed any scholarships till date.

We have a separate block called Diamond Jubilee block.where we can play indoor games like table tennis,carom,badminton,etc.we have a big ground too.we have college teams to many sports like cricket,volleyball etc.There is an EICHER centre which offers courses on truck engineering.The labs are well equipped having CNC machine too.our mechanical workshop has many lathes which you can operate and we study it in our course.

Senior students do guide us in many ways.senior students do arrange many club activities during our engineering course.it is very helpful.We have racing teams built by our seniors which participate in formula bharath,BAJA SAE,etc.

Through Common entrance test conducted throughout the state of Karnataka.By giving the college name as first reference in the option entry conducted to all students who took the common entrance test.The KEA board assigns the college

The faculty are good,knowledge filled and informative.The teaching is good.The facilities for teaching are good.We have a overhead projector installed in every classrooms of our college.The professors create their own power-point slides and teach us through it.
