Life at this campus provide the best choices in life. There is a mountain of opportunities - but both positive and negative, speaking a bit morally. Academics is providing bigger and best opportunities for enhancing knowledge and other skills. Some departments were offering training for UPSC exams.
Course Curriculum Overview
Quality content in the course curriculum. The Course was of 5 years with 2 semesters per year. Compulsory papers from the department and electives from other departments made some of us inter disciplinary intellectuals.
Placement Experience
Yes, the college has promoted placement and job opportunities. But I haven't gone for one even many of my friends from the department have gone in well reputed institution and firms. Some of my friends were placed as SMEs under some firms
College Events
The campus promote multi-liguistic,and religious cultures. We had friends even from abroad. In the campus all events of national importance, onam, Christmas, Diwali like festivals, freshers&farewell day in each department were celebrated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
At our times the fee structure was completely different from the current fee structure l think. Earlier it was affordable for all and was not much expensive. Girls were exempted from Hostel fees, but had mess fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
The University is providing scholarships to the meritorious students in all departments.The rate is different for different levels of education. Other national scholarships are also getting for many students like INSPIRE, MANF, IGSfellowship etc.
Campus Life
A well equipped Cricket stadium with spacious galleries is one of the milestone in campus. Physical Education department is so active in Education, Games and Research. Football players from here get into better national team and get better opportunities.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is available for both girls and boys. Facilities available in the hostel can be rated as 'convincing'. College has assured to provide better security for the students. But l doubt the above said is applicable for all corners of hostels.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni net work found to be a good support for the juniors. Many of them are well settled with better job either in India or abroad. Greater bond is found among the alumni from same school or department.
Admission
I Wrote Entrance exam for the course after my 12th standard in May last week. Got through the test. By July our classes started. We were 45 in that batch. So fortunate to get well qualified and experienced faculties. Since the course was with the name Integrated MSc we learned Maths as a subject.
Faculty
Well qualified faculties with years experience in teaching and research. This has enhanced/motivated many among us to go for research, and some of us for choosing teaching as a profession. Even they were well respected in the society they deserve 'better' respect for their humbleness.
