Remarks

The college tries to place every student possible which is a great thing. If you're in good connection with the professors, there are chances they may recommend you and give you a LOR or something.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course designed is quite fair. There are few subjects and few topics which require a lot of changes and are redundant to the current scenario. When it comes to becoming a better professional, there are few courses designed such as personality development programs. This program gives an insight on how to prepare yourself for the placements and how to be presentable. The right skills to crack your interviews.

Placement Experience

4

The placements and internships are pretty good. Students get a lot of time as the college is autonomous and we don't have any subjects for the 8th semester. The only thing we have to prepare is the major project in the 8th semester.

College Events

4

The 8th mile is the grandest event or fest we have in our college. Other than that our college hosts e-summit by the entrepreneurship cell. Other events are by the various other teams or technical clubs of the college. There are few art clubs such as Alaap and CARV which quite often host some of the other cultural events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Every year the fee structure changes and it usually increases. During my time the fee we paid was Rs. 1,25,000/- for the first year of engineering. Thereafter the second year fee increased by a bit. Other expenses were for the PG, Rs.10,000/- per month and Rs.3000/- per month for Petrol expense.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan. Throughout the engineering for every year, my father paid for it.

Campus Life

3.5

To sum it up, it was a great journey. I met some amazing people who are still there with me, clinging on to reality. The gender ratio definitely was more on the male end. It was more than a 60:40 ratio. We have notable alumni in sports, Anil Kumble. Students were really great at sports. The facilities were pretty decent too. The labs, later on, were modified to a great extent and newer facilities were brought up. The competition was really good in terms of technology. Few teams who were into designing the cars went to compete abroad.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students until they are in college are really helpful. That's how you learn from them. The alumni network isn't that great except for a few departments.

Admission

The admission process starts with the counseling process once the ranks are out after taking the exam. Based on the rank of college calls the candidates from a particular rank to a particular rank. The seats simultaneously start to fill for the streams. If your rank is decent you will get a decent stream too. There is always a high competition for CS, ECE, ISE, and Mechanical.

Faculty

3.5

The senior faculties are pillars of the college, be it any department. The junior faculty lags research work and basic manners to treat the students too. A lot of teachers are not supportive and do show biases towards the people not belonging to the state. This has been felt quite often by a lot of students.
