Remarks
Over all my college is a beautiful college.The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards.
Course Curriculum Overview
For me course curriculum was awesome. There are 3 exams in a semester. 2 mid terms and 1 final exam. Grading is relative grading. It calculate the median of the class and for getting pass mark one gave to score 0.6 percent of median score.
Placement Experience
Presently many multi national companies are coming forward to select students with good curriculum vitae. Our college also provide internship to students who are willing to work in science field. My overall experience of studying at IISER is very good. And we will get a stipend of 5000 rupees per month.
College Events
Almost all national festivals like Makar shankranthi, Maha shivarathri, Holi, Easter, Eid Al fitar, Independence day, Raksha bandan, Ganesh chathurthi, Navrathri are celebrated in my college. And onam and Christmas are also celebrated.
Fees and Financial Aid
The stipend is provided by DST. BSMS students are given a monthly stipend of 5000 rupees per month and for PhD students funding is done by CSIR or Gate. All BSMS students are also eligible for reimbursing 1 lakhs rupees for buying study related materials.
Campus Life
There are many extra curricular activities in my college. All students can play any sports they want. Inorder to promote games and sports among students, sports day and games day are conducted each and every year. And all the labs are very good and are equiped with most modern technology.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is very good. Every year junior students are motivated and educated by seniors about the opportunities and possibilities. All the students are supportive and are always willing to help each other.
Admission
There are there ways to get admission in the college. KVPY, JEE mains and SCB(state central board). I got selected from SCB. We have to write the entrance exam conducted by IISER. presently there are 7 IISERs. As per our wish we have to select which iiser to choose.
Faculty
Faculties are well educated and we'll behaved. All the faculties have great knowledge. All the students are assigned a particular faculty called faculty advisor. These faculties help the students to study and come up in academics.
