College - a fun or a fool

The college is very bad at maintaining cleanliness and the faculty needs to be recruited properly on the basis of their knowledge and teaching. The college needs to be more liberal with the rules for attendance because there is a compulsion on attendance of 75% to be able to give exams.

The college doesn't actually offer a wide choice of subjects. The recruitment of the faculty is totally abrupt. Some of the professors need to focus more on what and how to teach. This college follows Odd Semester sytem and has ATKT System also. The college norms are very rigid regarding attendance. The college has two mid-sem exams-CIA 1 and CIA 2(which now they have modified, currently they have only one CIA and in replacement of CIA 2 they will assess the students on Class Presentation, Assignments, Classroom Interactions, Tests) and an End-Sem exam.

This college doesn't provide internship but it offers various job opportunities. They send notices to the students if they come across any new job vacancy for any department so that students can apply.

1. Youth Fest - Youth Fest is a very famous and most celebrated event in our college. This is unlike any other event, in this event students can participate for all the talents they possess like painting,dancing,singing, photography, debate, poetry, story writing, etc. 2. Culfest - Culfest is an annual festival celebrated in our college where students can have fun because they offer performances of every kind, dance,music,acting, photography, painting,debate,etc.They also offer delicious food items, books at affordable prices, and wonderful decoration.

The fee structure of the college is quite affordable unlike any other colleges which costs you a huge amount of money. The fees they charge are different for boys and girls. The fees for degree you pursue or want to pursue varies. For example: Fees for girls in B.A. per semester is Rs. 3280/- and fees for girls in M.A. would be quite higher.

The college offers scholarship to those who have scored good marks in the academics, they also felicitate them with certificates and trophies. The college also offers scholarship to underprivileged students (SC/ST/OBC).

This college also promotes sports and other extracurricular activities to empower students to embrace their talents. This college has all the labs facilities and also has two grounds for playing sports.

Yes, the alumnis and the senior students are very much helpful and generous. They help us with our doubts, they also share notes, they make groups to teach the junior students and carry out different activities which makes the juniors and seniors build a rapport with each other.

I, firstly, googled about the college and then read various facilities provided in this college. The official website of the college is www.sxca.edu.in wherein I got to know about the admission details. I registered by applying online at the above mentioned website and completed the payment procedure too. This college accepts only Online Application, so I filled my details and uploaded all the required documents. Then I had to wait until the Merit List is disclosed. Few days after the Merit List was announced, I saw my name on the Merit List which was available on the website, I received a message on my phone to go to the college on the mentioned date for document verification. Once i finished that I joined the college officially.

As I am a student of Arts Department, I majorly know about Arts Faculty only. The faculty is recruited randomly. They do not undertake any demonstration of the professor. Many of the professors are not even able to speak English.
