A good college with some pros and cons

It is overall a good college in some aspects and bad in some aspects. Infrastructure needs to improve a lot including the grounds,canteen, seminar hall,sports room etc. Teaching is good and the teachers need to be more supportive than they are. Many unnecessary rules are there in the College that need to be abolished. Hostel food and other services needs to improve. Bus service provided by the College is really good and covers most of the parts of Bangalore. If you don't want to live in the hostel, u can opt for numerous options of PG s that are nearby the College.

Course curriculum is same as other Vtu affiliated colleges. There will be 8 semesters. Each semester will have 6 subjects to study and 2 lab subjects. 3 internal tests will be there for each semester. Average of the 3 internal tests is taken and reduced to 40 marks.You need to score a minimum of 19/40 marks as an average of the 3 tests.And the external exam will be of 100 marks which gets reduced to 60marks. So external and internals both add and make 100 marks. This is called as 60:40 scheme.

Yes, many students who are eligible,get placed and numerous companies such as hp,mindtree, Accenture,tech Mahindra,Tcs comes to the College for placements. The College also provides internship opportunities and also provides placement training and assistance.

Yearly cultural fest known as sanchalana is celebrated in the even semester. It is not a large scale fest. And the the standards of the fest won't be that top notch. The College doesn't supports much cultural activities but it supports some of the sports activities.

The fees is around 95k for Kcet students and around 1,45,000 for comedk/management quota students. It is certainly reasonable.The college doesn't charges anything extra as such after the above mentioned amount except the university fees and exam fees.

Scholarships are usually available for the minority class students and also, for the meritorious Students. Government scholarships are available usually to the local karnataka residential students.The college keeps updating about the upcoming scholarships and the methods to avail them.

Labs are really well equipped and there is a sports room, a basketball ground,a football/cricket ground. The College doesn't supports much cultural activities but certainly supports some sports activities. Cultural fest happens once a year that is not that worth to wait for. The College really needs to improve on infrastructure and it has a small seminar hall which is not well equipped and looks like a classroom itself.

Hostel is good in terms of infrastructure but lacks good management. Food served is average and mostly south indian. You need to come back to the hostel before 9pm in case of boys.3 people have to live in 1 room and the fees per year is nearly 65k.

Seniors are good and helpful and no ragging cases are found till date. The College is strict in terms of discipline and code of conduct. Slowly, the College is developing and the seniors tell us that it has undergone a huge change but still it requires more betterment.

U can get admission through KCet, Comedk exams and also through management quota. Computer science gets the highest priority during counselling.Management quota fees is almost same as the fees students need to pay when they get admission through comedk.

Faculties are good and capable enough in teaching and other skills but they never support extra curricular activities and the mode of controlling the students is as if it is a school. For small things u need to write permission letters such as being late to class, taking leaves etc. And the faculties are really strict regarding attendance. Some of the faculties won't even give you the minimum average internal marks if you fail to score and then you have to struggle by getting more marks in external exam.They will support you in paper presentations, and other technical activities.
