Univeristy review

I don't think the which they give is the best. Many students learn computer languages from outside. The Admin block is another headache in the college who don't respond to our problems nor give a clear suggestions. But if you find the best set of friends that how one can survive here.

CCE is the curriculum which every degree college follows. As per rules set by University Grants Commission (UGC), the Undergraduate College all over should follow same syllabus and exam structure.So, it will same same as any degree colleges.

There is Placement Cell in the college.Though its said that there good placements but there is no guarantee that there can be palcements every year. About the internship. there is no such thing in our college.Coming to my overall experience - if you make good friends then you can enjoy the life here and about studies its just same as any other institutions.

The events celebrated here are Freshers,Farewell,Annual day,Independence day,Republic day. You wont find anything such as fests like other colleges conduct. They conduct a few competitions for republic day such as elocution, drawing, rangoli, antakshari,just a minute and dance competitions.

The fee is mostly dependent on the course you take but it is not at all expensive. A merit student can apply for a merit scholarship and also get Scholarship and Fee reimbursement if they don't belong to other caste. The student have to pay Examination fee through online SBI collect.

Most the students in the college come from other districts and almost all of them belong to the backward classes. So, many of us know that the government provides fee reimbursement and scholarship for those students. There isn't any loan facility as the fee is not so expensive and the living cost is also feasible.

The college has a NCC unit and sports branch. Every year around more than 100 to 150 students(guess) get select into it. the sports branch is also maintained by the same trainer. The NCC unit is run regularly and they also take there cadets to camps. There is NSS unit which is also run very actively. Coming to labs the Computer Labs are very large and well provided with the infrastructure. The physics,, electronic and chemistry labs lack a little infrastructure but mostly the labs happen regularly.

There is a Hostel facility for second and third year students. The first should stay in any private hostels. There are many affordable private hostls near the university. The Hostelers also receive the reimbursement for hostel fee. Many say that college hostel provide the best food. But at the same time you should adjust with beds, washrooms and so on.

Once you enter the college there is no such thing as ragging and you won't be able to find the difference between a fresher and final year students. Since the college is huge and many classes are allotted in different blocks students are always busy with their studies. Most of the seniors are very helpful and friendly.

All the seats are allocated by DOST.You have to enroll your name under dost after you can select your OUCW among list of other colleges.Once you're allotted a seat through dost come and enroll into the college on allotted dates(payment of fee).

My stream is Physical Sciences. So, I can't give a review about the Arts, Commerce and Biological Sciences. Though there are lectures who have an experience of 15 to 20 years but a few dont know the way of teaching.Especially the Computer Sciencs.If you want to excel in computers then i dont think it is a better college for you.
