Remarks
College is good, they will not spoon feed you, you will have to do such things yourself, infrastructure if good, management of the college is quite rude and less interactive, other than that it is good. Libraries well build and huge, labs are efficient and easily accessible, inside security is just for show.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good and up to mark, but in my opinion, it depends on the student, how eagerly you are willing to get knowledge and skills for yourself, the course is divided into 6 sem in case of BBA and other management graduation courses, each sem has 5 subjects and each sem has 2 exams, internal and external, internal of 20, 60 for externals and 20 for practicals.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities in our college are based upon personal skills and talent of the students, mass recruitment is not usual in our college, but there are few companies which come, some renowned as, Tommy Hilfiger, hp,jyro, Patanjali, etc. yes our college provides internships, but not to all, it is also an interview-based selection for internships too, companies visits college and selects students based in their interview and skills. yes, most of the companies provide stipend around 3000 to 7000 per month while some do not, totally depends upon your skills and communication skills.
College Events
Events in particularly my department happens thrice a month or more than that, there are specific events for each stream, such as finance marketing etc, seminars are also conducted, sports events are held one every year, yuva fest is held for the whole college once every year, in which difference cultural dances, songs and other programmes are held, also one or two celebrity guests are called, last time Diljit Doshanj and Shirley Sethia were called, also there is DJ night too, whole Yuva fest is held for 3 consecutive days.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feedable as compared to other colleges, for Management courses, it is around in avg of 45000 per send and less if you are from Uttrakhand itself, it is too high for technical curves such as BTech etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, college does not provide any scholarships, yes but you can avail of a loan through banks, such as Bank of Baroda, Punjab national bank, as college is in a touch of these banks, other than that there are no scholarships.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities depend upon your course, as in my case I was in BBA so there was no need for any extracurricular activities, some activities happened in our class, and some seminars were conducted, yes there are labs and libraries which you will be taken is required and can visit after college hours also, for you any work.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I opted for a hostel in 1st year and continued for 2 ND year too, infrastructure of the hostel is good, you have 24*7 electricity and water, hostels are cleaned weekly along with your rooms, but the only problem is the food of mess, it will be hectic for you to eat after 2-3 months, very poor quality food, other than that it is good, you also have laundry twice a week.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni network is not much good, people are less in touch, and only the people who belong to your class and cource will be in touch, other than that senior teachers or students don't get much time to interact or keep in touch.
Admission
I, first of all, found this college on the internet, while searching for good colleges in Uttrakhand for Management oriented courses, then I also visited their website, I registered on their website, their criteria were above 55% in 12th, after some days I received a call from college, they asked me to come and register before,1 Aug, I went to Dehradun and visited the campus, filled the registration forms and for hostel also, as I wanted a hostel, after that, they gave me receipts and a catalogue, and was given a date for orientation, the process was quite simple.
Faculty
Faculty of particularly my college, in management building, ie.UIM is quite good and friendly, they also help you with the placement process and interviews, and helps you build your overall personality, rather than just theatrical knowledge.
