Remarks
College has a bad administration strategies sometimes, we always have exams after our holidays which is sad cuz it defeats the whole purpose of the holidays. They don’t have any support for in college activities that help build the college’s name.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is a mix of technical and management background. So I think it’s a good one. It gives you an opportunity to pick which fields you want to pursue in the future if you have plans for post grad. We have a semester program with 3 exams each semester and semester ends.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities are good for a college like RV. We have a varied range of companies coming in and a varied range of salaries for every performer of the college. The college doesn’t provide internships, however we have tie ups with a lot of companies and organisations which help us get an internship easily.
College Events
My college has a lot of technical tests and cultural feats. We have an entrepreneurship cell which hosts 3-4 events throughout the year. We have tedx that is a conference. We have a Kannada club that has their flagship event every year and then we have the acting club called CARV which has their fest and finally the college festival.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. It’s not really expensive as such for locals but might be a tad bit expensive for the people who are not from Karnataka. It’s 2 lakh rupees for outside people and local Karnataka people can write the CET and pay 60k every year
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not really aware of any such things. Although there are a few based on the reservation category you belong to. It’s a lengthy process but saves up a lot of money which is an added advantage for the people who belong to reservation
Campus Life
We have a lot of extracurricular activities ranging from literature, quizzes, dance, acting and business mindset people. We have a lot of labs for everyone in every department which is a great thing. Kind of helps everyone achieve practical knowledge in all growths of the course.
Alumni/Alumna
We have a very famous cricketer of the name Anil Kumble. He passed out from our college. Our alumni is helpful if you hit them up on linked in. They’re guiding us and if there’s any issue, you can contact them at any time and you’ll get a response. Few of them are highly successful so advice wouldn’t be a problem form their end I hope.
Admission
I had to give the COMEDK exam after my 12th grade finals. Then we apply for the courses we desire in the colleges we are expecting them to pursue from. Then we wait till the counselling starts. Typically there are 2 rounds but my batch had a third one and I got it in the 3rd round.
Faculty
The faculty is well trained and well equipped with knowledge and practical experience. However some faculty is just not upto the mark but that’s there in every college. Overall, they’re a 7.5 out of 10.
