Remarks
It is good. The college takes care of all of us. We are nearly 500 students. It is good, as it is small and they had an eye on every one of us. The teachers here are good, especially, chemistry. All in all, IIT DHARWAD IS BEST.
Course Curriculum Overview
The exam structure is not defined for Advanced. But for mains, till previous year, it was 90 questions, 30 each from maths, chemistry and physics. Marking scheme 4 for correct answer,0 for not attempted and -1 for wrong answer.
Placement Experience
Not yet had any placements. Yes our college provide internship, but since I am a first year student right now, I cannot tell about any of the internships here. Also, this year is going to be the first year of our campus placements and we are all hoping that it does go well.
College Events
Events like Ganesh Chaturthi is only celebrated till date in our college. Apart from that also, Our foundation day has also been celebrated. But no celebrations like Krishna Janmashtami or Freshers party is yet celebrated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is about 140000 per semester approximately. It may be quite expensive for some people, but for most it is not a big deal. Literal many private colleges take much more fees than us. But this is IIT, it provides many facilities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, scholarships are availed for SC and ST students based on their performance in the exams and their overall performance. I don't know about them much since I am not any of them. Loan facility I am not knowing.
Campus Life
Yes, there are labs like hands on engineering, chemistry labs, and engineering graphicslabs. Literally, all the labs are boring and the worst is the engineering graphics. They have all the required instruments in the good form and they are quite expensive also. But all in all, they are best.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, the seniors are good. Their hostels are 1.5 kilometres long, so there is no chance of ragging and all. But yeah, they are very helpful as we meet in the academic building and we can sort out any problem with them. Also they have made student mentore to our seniors, so that we can solve small problems on our own.
Admission
Through JEE ADVANCED. First you have to clear JEE Mains and then there is the paper of JEE Advanced. This is based on the class 11 and 12 syllabus, which are nearly same. This exam is considered tough but it's not much tough.
Faculty
Faculties are good. The chemistry Sir is quite good, but the maths and physics profs are not much up to mark. Their style of teaching is such that most of the students get a nice nap in their classes.
