Everything up to your focus. You should learn things with due interest and college is just a mentor. You know all Indian universities are facing the same problem in accademic due to lack of good teachers. They should recruit good teachers and that will be helpful for young generation.
Course Curriculum Overview
1+1+1 yearly exam. Course structure is not so bad. But should enlist experimental techniques more than the theory being taught. Suggest to change the syllabus and focus on basic science. So that people will be more enthusiastic.
Placement Experience
No idea. But college should start new programmes in order to fulfill the crisis of the new generation. And in order to teach good physics they should try new ways and focus on more experimental setup. They should make this issue to UGC.
College Events
They usually do fresher's. But I think that's a part of their political agenda. But I think college should invite people from various institutes to refresh the new minds. And make them aware of the recent developments in sciences and all
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. You should not worry about that. If your family is unable to afford you can do home tution in Kolkata. But don't unfocus your mind. If you ask the principal, college can reduce your fee structure.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I did not. Some people got inspire scholrship. According to their marks. I was not elligible in that criteria. In addition I did not entoll for any state scholrship as they give 10000 per year. There is also Ramakrishna mission scholarship.
Campus Life
One can use library. There you will get good books. Also department provide books to be issued for one year. If you are financially weak you will get all sorts of help from department. They will not refuse you.
Hostel Facilities
No, but hostel condition is not good in order to get accademic perpose. I told that is on the basis of political and the distance of your home from college. But I suggest that college authority should focus more on hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
I don't know Our seniors were helpful. And they helpede a lot during the course year. But now this time I have no idea as I am out of contact with my college for past three years. But I wish seniors and teachers will be helpful.
Admission
Merit list on the basis of math, physics marks with weighted average. But I have idea regarding the new system of admission. Students want to admit the institute should go through the instructions in the college website.
Faculty
I have heard new faculty members are cooperative now. We were lack of good teachers in our time. But now I have heard some good teachers had been appointed and they are doing good in the accademic. I wish best of luck.
