Placement Experience

There are no placements in our college. Placements were low for our seniors and were not effective. The placement percentage was below 20%. The average salary offered for B.Tech students is Rs. 10,000 to 15,000 per month. Companies that visited are Aachi Masala, Naaga, etc.

College Events

Sports and games are also conducted and promoted in our college. The food tech expo is one of the main highlights in which people from different places and students from different institute visit to explore different techniques and variety of food products developed in-house.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee for my B.Tech in Food Tech program was around 141,000 per annum, which is at par with other engineering colleges. The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college has the Wi-Fi connectivity. Labs are pretty convenient to work in. Classrooms are good and we also had smart class facilities. The library has a plethora of books from different disciplines, Medical facilities are also available in the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

IICPT offers Graduate Research Assistantships (GRA) for eligible M. Tech students of around Rs. 16000/- per month, at least that’s what I recieved and for eligible Ph. D. students receive Doctoral Research Assistantships (DRA) of Rs. 24000/- per month depending on the funds available in the R&D funded projects.

Campus Life

Campus life is nice and vibrant. Many cultural events are organised throughout the year. The cultural performances are also presented in these events on topics like food wastage and awareness regarding food processing industry. The institute is very determinant towards enhancing the food quality.

Admission

Admission is on the basis of common counseling conducted on the basis of the entrance exam.

Faculty

Faculty members are highly educated and experienced. Despite having a busy schedule, they still clear our doubts. Industrial visits are part of the course curriculum and all the courses here are affiliated to TNAU Coimbatore. Answer papers go there for correction.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Niftem Thanjavur Campus life , admission process.

This college gives admission through Jee mains , if u are general category you need minimum 90 percentile whereas for other categories you can get admission above 75-80 percentile. This course is for 4 years , you will have more exposures to labs which reflects the actual food industries labs and you can get more contacts through IVs of your personal interest . My college - IIFPT

I think good aspect is the exposure my college will give to Food Technology students, we have many departments including New product development, food packaging, food safety and quality assurance, etc. All these departments have their separate labs with high quality equipments where you can perform your research under the professors valuable guidance. If you join this college, believe me you have chosen the best college for food technology in India. But, my college is affiliated under TNAU, which means all the academic related should be decided by TNAU (ICAR accredited-one of the best agriculture college in India). My college is getting the Institute of National Importance (INI) status which means my college will soon be a deemed university. The main reason why I choose is I always want to do something different, everyone are going in same path like choosing CSE, ECE, EEE, etc so I want to choose different path in my life which is why I took Food Technology and another main reason is I am always fascinated about food science and its processing from farm to fork, I really wanted to get involved in those processes so I choose this course.
