NIE mysuru college review

They are a bit partial amongst north and south but at the end they will help every one.And the main problem you will face is in office where you get most of your work done related to college, no one knows english properly and they only know kannada and will ask you to learn kanadda.

Course curriculum is a bit old but hope it changes soon. Pattern contains 3 internals out of which best of 2 is taken and added then there is a semester end exam whose marks are divided by 2 and added with the best of 2 to get the final score.

Placements are very good for technical based companies and a lot of companies come for placements as it is very near to bangalore, most of the students are placed in bangalore itself. For others big companies like Mercedes, etc come for hiring students. College doesn't provide internships, you have to search for one yourself.

There is only one event which happens in nie mysuru which is TECHNIEKS. Technieks - it is a 3-4 days event having different things among itself. On first day there is talent hunt where anyone can come and show their talent. And at night there are some events. On second day there is ethnic day And on third day there is an event at night where some unknown celebrity are called but are too good.

For non- Karnataka residents (those who got admission through comedk) fees is around 2 lacs per year. And for KCET students it depends on the branch and varies from 15000-50000 per year. It is a bit partial to take so much money from comedk students and no money from CET students. CET students also get some scholarship based on different residency.

For any scholarship your family needs to have a income below 1 lack. They are partial when it comes to scholarship. Comedk students have no scholarship until you fall under category of SC, ST, or OBC. But KCET students have a heck lot of scholarships available. There is management quota also if anyone wants to join.

There are no such extra curricular activities, labs are nearly maintained and need a lot of work to do on them to cope up with the modern world. And for sports we dont have good teachers to teach you anything new. If you know something than they will help you go further in that. For people who are good at sports. It will be very good for you. And for those who want to learn new things its all hope.

Boys hostel - 80000/- per year Too good and much much better than any other PG. The only problem is food if you are a north indian and you love eating roti. Because they will server you rice day and night and sometimes in breakfast too. About infrastructure it is one of the best hostels you will ever come around compared to any other government college including IIT and NIT. As it is newly constructed. Facilities - there are washing machines to wash your clothes ( fully automated ) There are water coolers but the only problem is there are only two water coolers and that too on the ground floor so students have to go to ground floor for water ( no lifts ) but there are some private rendors which offer mineral water can. And one CAN costs you around 30 rupees.

On the name of alumni network we only have narayan murthy - CEO of infosys who passed out from this college. And no one else i have heard of or is coming to college. About seniors they are one of those who will never let you down in your whole engineering life. They are very helpful either it be food or studies or placements.

First we have to write comedk exam for non karnataka residents and KCET for others then you have to wait for the counselling to happen, you have to put 3 priorities for colleges you want you get colleges based on the availability of the course you prefer in the college.

Some of them are too good and some of them are too rude. But everyone will help you whenever you are in need rather it be related to course or not. Faculty of cse are chill Faculty of all other branches are too strict and wont let you enjoy your college life.
