My college experience

NIT JAMSHEDPUR is an excellent college. It offers a student ample facilities to learn and grow. Be it sports, music or academics, you'll find all sorts of students who are pro on their respective fields.

The Course curriculum is good enough compared to any college in India. One gets to know the fundamentals of his/her stream. Untill, the year 2018, the total fee for the course of B.Tech (4 Years) was nearly 8.5 lakhs.

College provides excellent placements. Major recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart also visited our campus in the previous years, Qualcomm, OLA. The college also provides internships. Stipend varies according to the company, Companies like Microsoft offer packages upto 43 lakhs.

OJASS, the annual technofest of our college. It's the biggest fest in the Northeast India. The last year prize budget was 2.2 millions. Various competitions are held. Colleges throughout India take part in it. CULFEST, the annual cultural fest of our college. Various exhibitions and cultural events are held. URJA, the annual sports fest of out college. The fee structure is feasible. It is in line with any Institute of National Importance. The annual fee amounts to nearly 2.1 lakhs. Fee structure compensates for the various facilities offered by the college.

The college offers 100% remission to SC/ST/PH students.The college offers 100% scholarship to those students whose family income is less than 1 lakhs p.a, 2/3rd scholarship to those students whose family income is in between 1-5 lakhs.

There are many clubs in the college which organise various activities for the students. The Computer Lab is fully air conditioned and has round the clock high internet speed. Our colleges also participates in inter-NIT sports.

We have Mega-Hostels, which are the best hostels you'll find in any college. They are even better than their IIT counterparts. From 2nd Year, every student gets a single room. WLan comes to every room in the hostel. The Mega-Hostels has 7 floors. Elevators are installed. We have a common room. There's also an open-air theatre.

Alumni network is strong. One can easily find NIT JSR students in every field. Seniors are really helpful. They guide the juniors on how to cope up with the college pressure and share their experiences of the placement interviews.

I qualified JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Main Exam. Qualifying which I secured a All-India Rank. Based on my rank, I sat for JOSSA Counselling Process. I filled up the college's and the stream I wanted to pursue on the JOSSA Website in my order of preference. There are 7 rounds and 2 special rounds. I got. CSE at NIT JSR in Round 1 itself. So, I chose it.

The faculty is well experienced. Majority not the faculty are PhD doctarates. They conduct classes in an interactive and student friendly manner They always welcome the students to clear their doubts.
